The Light Mortar is a miniaturised version of the devastating "Mortar" anti-capital ship weapon. Originally based off of research into antimatter weaponry, its exceptional range and damage make it the modern equivalent of an artillery gun, capable of hurting other large targets from a safe distance. Despite the modifications done to reduce its size and energy requirements, it is still quite large and power hungry. Only cruiser class vessels or larger can support this weapon.
