Greetings sirs,
I began mt patrol today in the New York system. Things were fairly quiet at the time, so after a couple of sweeps I moved on to the Texas system when I received Intel reports of a vessel by the name of LordKaiser headed in that direction. Having met the vessel before and knowing that it was a Pirate Train, and it's captain a man who ran from me the last time, I waited above Houston for his arrival. Unfortunately, I positioned myself poorly and he made to Houston before I could interdict him. I managed a visual of his cargo hold, however. It was chock full of Cardamine.

Having been notified of his temporary grounding, I returned to the New York system, where I resumed my patrol. I chased a few scum out of the system, and returned to overwatch above Manhattan. When I arrived however, there was a veritable storm of activity going on due to the presence of a Zoner Dreadnaught by the name of MCS-Forlorn.Hope. I was looking to sort the issue out and order the vessel out of Liberty when it became apparent that the captain of the LNS vessel Liberty.TheLoneOne had somehow declared that the vessel was welcome, even going so far as to say that the captain of the "Forlorn Hope" was a friend of his. I tried to make it clear that this was not acceptable, but as I was doing so the "Lord Kaiser" slipped in towards Manhattan. I gave the order to burn the vessel, but it was too late. I was fast enough to snap another scan of his cargo hold, and sure enough, it was Cardamine again.

Turning my attention back to the Zoner Dreadnaught, I found that it had disappeared from Manhattan space. I ordered that it immediately halt and reveal itself, which it did. I transitioned to it's location near the West Point to California Jump Gate, where the captain of "The Lone One" followed me. The captain of "The Lone One" then began to attempt to tell me that in the absence of Primary command staff that the Secondaries have authority to allow such vessels into Liberty space. I repeated several times, having referenced the Laws of Liberty, that this was not the case, but the captain of the vessel continued to insist upon it, even going so far as to check with a "Judge" by the name of Logan to back him up. Thankfully we managed to agree that the Zoner vessel needed to be escorted out of Liberty space, and "The Lone One" took up this duty. Later intel reports however indicated that both vessels ended up in the Kansas system and that they were sharing a closed loop comm channel. Below is a GunCam of the "Forlorn Hope" being escorted towards California by "The Lone One".
"Forlorn Hope" Departing
The rest of my patrol was, odd, in that I had to deal with an amorous Lane Hacker by the name of Wren and a catty Rogue pilot by the name of Debbie flying a freighter I don't recall the name of. Honestly, the less said of these incidents the better, I believe. I ended my patrol at the Battleship Missouri after Recruit Kalen launched his patrol. I would like to note that Secondary Fleet pilot Batarian was most helpful in attempting to track down several Rogue vessels that were operating in Manhattan, even if we didn't manage to overtake them.
Ensign Polstari, signing off.
