The Scrap Metal collected by Junkers from debris fields is transported to various depots where it is smelted into ingots. These ingots are called Manifolds due to the multitude of metal elements and alloys that may be combined in them. Culebra Smelter's more sophisticated facility allows scrap metal to be separated into purer metals which are more valuable, while Manifolds from a typical Junker depot require further smelting before use by most industries.
