The Rocket Pod is a recent innovation in bomber armaments. The weapon rapidly fires unguided rockets that are primarily designed to breach gunboat hulls, but also do significant damage to shielding. The ammunition limitations of the weapon forces pilots to make a well thought tactical decision regarding its deployment, but, when used effectively, it can devastate a gunboat. Bomber pilots are heavily discouraged from relying solely on the Rocket Pod, and are urged to use a well rounded complement of weapons.
