G'day Ladies and Gentlemen of the High Command
I'm sure you already read Lieutenant Kerr's report about the first gallic attack yesterday. Well, there were several more later on that day.
I had to take a break on the Derby and the engineers to take a look at my Templar's engines. they had been runnning on 120% throughout the whole battle. Those gallic bombers are fast...
After the engineers had cleared me for launch i remained at the Derby for some minutes following protocols. Luckily i did, just as i wanted to head off two bombers came through the gate somehow. The fight started nearly immediatly. One of the bombers was the design i had seen several times already so i decided to destroy that one first. It exploded minutes after they jumped. The other one was a strange design i hadn't seen before in my life. Unfortunatelly we can't use any parts of it, because even though i tried not to damage any critic parts and make the pilot eject the bomber was cought in a stray shot of the Derby and completely vaporized. There are not even any wrecked parts left.
Throughout this while fight my ship hadn't been damaged so i carried on to Dublin were Essex had gotten some reports about a gallic fighter force breaching the perimiter. As i arrived on scene Captain Winter was already there, just heating his weapons. Commodore Lawrence was also on the way. We three took the apart easily. Unfortunatelly two could escape. One was destroyed in Dublin and two others tried to get away via New London. We followed them and destroyed one on the way to the Edinburgh Jumpgate, the last one just wanted to activate the gate as I hit it with a mini razor and at the same time Derby launched a wall of anti-snub ions and the frog was killed.
The day continued like that and it just takes too long to recap everything. It suffice to say that the frogs lost around 10 snubcrafts that day while we didn't lose one single ship.
Just as i thought the day was over Corsairs showed up in Dublin, just doing 'business' according to them.
Captain Winter and I witnessed an extortion robbery and after a short chase we wanted to take them to prison. A molly appeared and was eiger to shoot the sairs, so we let them decide if they wanted to face probable death or lifetime ion prison. They chose the Molly and after one died by his hand they really wanted to engage Winter and me.
They should have taken the prison [laughs]. The one I fought became space dust after minutes. Seeing that all his friends died the last remaining one surrendered and agreed to prison. Winter and I escorted him to Newgate where his daily life now will look completely different.
[font=Kunstler Script]Yours,
Commander Jonathan Sinclair
