George appears on the screen with a gentle, confident smile. The camera is clearly different from the last one.
"I think we might be back on our feet from two days ago. But neither fortuna, nor sapientia are to blame. We were saved by the Mollies.
The Mollies might not be the best term, since those weren't the ones allying with the Gauls, obviously. It was a group of six Scylla class destroyers who were against Gallia, and, as it seemed, weren't with the other Mollies.
When we spotted them in Leeds, my forces wanted to engage, but I saw them as a possible resource. I have, despite annoying quantities of aggression and disobedience shown from my forces, managed to negotiate a non aggression pact between them and us. It was crucial later.
But later, later. Some Reavers have appeared now. Since their captains were too stubborn to perform my orders efficiently, I have left H.M.S. Ghost and H.M.S. Illustrious, both Dunkirks, to fight the Reavers with some of our snubs. I have then headed the Thunderer to New London, along with a Liberty battlecruiser from the 23rd and a gunboat. I have found a Corsair snub there, belonging to the Benitez family. The pilot was clearly starving, what reminded me I might make a small humanitarian operation for them. As we have dealt, I have loaded 900 units of food rations from planet Cambridge on the Thunderer, which I have payed for myself, and headed to the appointed place in Cambridge system. According to the deal, I have met a Corsair transport near the wreckage of Caraz, not far from Omega-5 jump hole, and transferred the food. They might be enemies, but it is not human to let other humans starve, even if we are at war with them. Most of them are only civilians, after all.
The Gauls have entered Leeds shortly after. I have appointed Captain Darrow, who was then commanding the Juggernaut, for the commander until I arrive, and Miss Pearson for the second in command, who was captaining the Hunt. When I entered Leeds by the jump hole from Cambridge, the Gauls were spotted in the fog in sector C6, near the trade lane from planet Leeds to Edinburgh jump gate. Our fleet has moved to hammer them from the east, while I have moved to flank them from the west. A Valor has already fell when I arrived. When the Thunderer opened fire, the Hunt was disabled due to a system malfunction. However, those Scyllas from earlier have apparently noticed the Gallic fleet. I could see our salvation on the radar. They... devoured them like termites devour wood... just faster. Much faster. After all enemy capital ships were down, I sounded the retreat. I couldn't risk those Mollies changing their mind. They were too numerous.
So, the Gauls have lost four Valors and a cruiser, while we have lost one battleship and also a gunboat, whose captain wasn't able to respond when I ordered the retreat. Both sides had allowable snub losses."

"Oh, by the way - this is a new camera. When I was speaking with Captain Darrow, I have left the previous one on my desk. A blast destroyed it. Can you, please, tell me if this one's as good?"
