I wish to clear up a matter regarding my involvement in the engagement you mentioned, which we so soundly lost.

While I do disagree with Admiral Davis' decision to make the engagement nigh-on suicidal, towards the end when his ship and mine were the only two left - I was instructed to retreat while he challenged the enemy commander to a duel.

Keep in mind to fact check before you start implying that I should be demoted or shot, please.

However: I do agree that current the current campaign strategy is in dire need of reconsideration due to the problems outlined in in Goodman's missive.

Arland out.

End of message.

Rather interesting report,

Lieutenant Commander James Arland and I both received reports of a Rheinland Military Cruiser operating near our border with Liberty. Apparently the vessel was attacking transports inbound to Bretonia, as well as outbound to Liberty. Disrupting well needed supplies to the Bretonian front.

The Invictus and it's sister ship, The Redoubt, along with Ensign Davenport moved in to secure our borders from Rheinland aggression that was taking place near it.

Upon finding the Rheinland vessel near the California gate ( Image 001; thanks to a pirate who tipped us off to it's location.) Both the Invictus and the Redoubt moved in to secure the California gate, and allow transports backed up at Freeport Four passage.

I placed one of the transports at Freeport Four under Bretonian protection, practically stating that if the Rheinlander opened fire on the transport, we would return fire.

Once we located the vessel, it proceeded to jump into California where we shortly followed. Without engaging, our presence managed to push the vessel back to California Minor where it stopped and attempted to tell us that we were out of our operational zone. On top of that, it was also holding a DSE vessel hostage.

We attempted diplomatic solutions though the Rheinlander was a bit too stubborn for his own good, and... shortly after the ship was immediately destroyed - in California

Later on we were called back into the Magellan systems as apparently... the same named cruiser was again attacking transports. We spent a good hour searching for it before Ensign Davenport finally stumbled upon it.

Once more, the vessel was destroyed.

Havering reporting again.

Was a bussy day yestuday with the Diplomatic mission to pick up that Gaul Princess.

Went all pretty well I would say we made it all the way to leeds to pick up a Leon Chevalier another Gaul.
At the same time we had a Gaul Valor named Acheron engage our forces over Leeds with a Jellie ship that where pursuing this Chevalier,
they did manage to take his ship out but luckely enough his escapepod ejected and was tractored in by the Normandie.

After that the Acheron and that... thing died to our guns rather fast.

Guncam 1,Guncam 2

After Chevalier was secured the Normandie headed for Southamton where the Princess would disscuss things with the Fleet Admiral.

While we where securing the perimeter for anything that would attemt to interupt the Meeting BPA Officer DaPilla asked for help against two gaians what where after his hide.

Goodman taking over the security of Southamton Arland and myselfe headed out to Leeds to support DaPilla.

As Arland and myselfe arrived the Gaians imediately started to turn tail and run, Arland and Dapilla bogging one down left the other for me.
When he managed to get into comfort distance of his base he turned and engaged head on, didn't take long and he was spacedust.

Guncam 3

The second one wasn't that keen on fighting even odds and docked heavily damaged.

Returning to Southamton we had yet again a situation which had a civilian trying to find Salisbury.
He didn't stay long. *shrugs*

But it seemed that he had help of the so called judges to find the system in the first place, we had to take care of those lads aswell.
Sadly Arland was taken out from one of the weaponplatforms of Malahide.

Guncam 4,Guncam 5,Guncam 6

After those actions the meeting came to an end and I got my Guardian checked over, since we had a few Hackers on our tail the whole time just watching things unfold, save is save.

Right that would cover the evening.

Next day we had two valors that somehow sneaked into New London over Dublin and hammered away at Malahide.
The BPA informing us of the attack I started the engines of my Challenger and made my way there as fast as possible.

At the time I arrived the BPA had nearly taken one Valor out, seems like the Platforms on Malahide had taken their toll and they just had to finish it off.

Guncam 7

The second one ran back to Dublin trying to escape our wrath but to no awail, we took it down aswell.

Guncam 8

We had about 4 Bombers at the scene and two fighters, though sadly the Bomber and Light fighter of the BPA got taken out.

But seeing that we destroyed two Valors without any Capitalship support just shows how badly trained those captains are and that the Gauls just don't have any expirienced people anymore.

Havering signing off.

Today a small skirmish between two Gallic Cruiser and the Leviathan local forces and the 242 wildcats. We set out of the LD-14 re fulling station. We cloaked in order not to be seen or ambushed by the gallic forces. We approached the gate to Newcastle where we stalked one of the cruisers and in the moment we de-cloaked we opened fire with full weapons . The Cruiser was utterly obliterated by our forward and primary guns. The other cruiser was hunted down by two destroyers from the Leeds Defence Forces secondary fleet.

Now a Personal letter to Liutenant Commander Austin Goodman and Ensign Sophie Savoie. Yesterday while wing alpha was on patrol in Leeds we encountered Sangria.Reaver. She asked a lot of questions about miss Savoie but she failed to get an answer from myself nor any of the other fleet members . I can guess she is unaware of your deployment miss Savoie, and I suggest we keep it that way.

This individual is dangerous and I had to go way beyond the line of normal speech to divert her questions. As your all probably aware by now. Ensign Sophie Savoie keep your eyes open and stay sharp. Goodman you maybe in the 5th Fleet but your task in the safety of miss Savoie is still active.

Uh-huh...

Admiral, you won't have to worry about Ensign Savoie, she can handle herself without me being around, and even when I'm around she'll still be fine. I'm well aware that she's my responsibility.

On the other hand, Admiral. I'll personally deal with Miss Swe... erhm, Sangria. I've dealt with her in the past, and it shouldn't be too hard to deal with her again. After all, you might as well consider her my responsibility as well.

Good Day Chaps,
Ensign DiMarco here with my first report of Service. Got called in to Reinforce 2 Officers and a fellow Soldier near Planet Leeds who were engaged against a group of Corsairs. As soon as i arrived i jumped into the fray to assist. Unfortunately the Corsairs were able to take down the Lieutenant and one Officer before i managed to tag one of them and take them down, quickly followed by another. As Commander Johnson and Admiral Davis arrived on the scene, the last Corsair fled from us. A Rather lengty talk between the Admiral and some Molly's followed, rather odd coversation. At one point during the talks we picked up a Reaver on scanners, which quickly fled again, only to return later, but this time we caught him. As Commander Johnson engaged the Reaver, one of his friends arrived in a gunboat. Luckily we had assistance from a friendly Gunboat aswell. We were able to take down the Gunboat in a combined effort while the Admiral finished off the remaining Reaver. Overall a good Tally for the Armed Forces. Guncams are Attached.

DiMarco Out.

I would like to report about yesterdays defence operation. Against a major Gallic Royal Navy assault on Leeds. yesterday at late evening while on normal patrol operations near planet Harris. The mobilisation code of the Leeds Defence Fleets was sounded and we were requested as support. I responded to the request and was assigned to a small mixed fleet that was composed of gallic ships and sheeps from the New London 5th fleet. The Invictus. Our task force contained 4 or 5 cruisers 3 battleships and support strike craft. Up reaching the small fleet Rv location at Stokes. We received orders from Admiral Davis to hold our ground and not allow the Royalist to gain ground. He appointed mr Gooodman and the Invictus as the CO of the Armed forces in our group,

The enemy fleet composed by 3 or 4 valors two cruisers and a bomber managed to reach Leeds. Our task force was ordered there and attack the enemy. As mr Goodman ordered all ships to fire all hell broke lose. I am still counting the number of torpedoes we launched against the enemy. but due to the enemy superior fire power they managed to heavily damage the 3 battleships that we're with us and one of our Cruiser. They are probably already repaired and paroling tough.

I cant say the same for the gallic royal navy vessels. All were taken out disabled or destroyed except one that managed to escape.

Good Afternoon,

I am here to report my first patrol as ensign, shortly after launching from New London, I was contacted by fellow ensign Basil Beaumont to rendezvous at Planet Leeds. Together, Beaumont and I decided to patrol Newcastle. While patrolling Newcastle, destroying several Gallic Royal Navy patrols, Beaumont and I decided to split up, I would patrol the outcropping of the Barrier Nebula and Beaumont would patrol the Galloway Ice Cloud.

While patrolling the nebula, I came across some curious sights. I found a recently constructed base, "Folium Base".

[Attached Files:]

Folium Base is located a short distance above the plane between G4/5.

I've checked BAF secured neural net and found no mention of these bases nor any proof that they are legal. After double checking the location of these bases, I contaced Beaumont, informed him about the location of these bases and then headed back to the Ark Royal.

I also had several Mollies and Gallic Royal Navy pilots in my hold. I've handed them over to the chaps on Ark Royal, rest assured, they'll be on the next prison convoy to Newgate.

Another large capital ship attack on Leeds today. We gathered a large force of cruisers, bombers and a battleship to counter the assault of 4 Valor-class battleships and three cruisers as well as a handful of snubs.

Received unexpected aid from a nomad Battleship going by "Aurora."

Our casualties were: HMS Redoubt - Crecy-class Destroyer commanded by myself.

HMS Vindicator - Dunkirk-Class Battleship

HMS Vindicator was taken out of action due to confusion regarding orders.

Redoubt was taken out due to my forgetting to keep my distance from those Valors.

Will amend this in the future.

Enemy casualties: All hostile targets destroyed.

Subject: Battle in Leeds

Good evening,

As you are no doubt aware, the Gallic Royal Navy launched a major offensive into Leeds. Several Valor Class Battleships escorted by Cruisers and a small fighter wing. Against them, we had 4 destroyers, the Invictus, Redoubt, Pestilence and Richmond and a Dunkirk, the HMS Vindicator. Two Council Cruisers, the CLN Courlancy and CLN Liberte also showed up to assist. We also had a fairly strong bomber wing with fighter support.

The battle was fairly predictable. The Gallic Fleet was clearly commanded by an incompetent and seemed to rely more on firepower than tactics, their Valor's were unable to fight off our bombers, and our Destroyer's engaged them at range with long range weaponry. Their fighter wing was utterly useless in providing cover. We did suffer sime losses as the Vindicator was lost early on due to a cock-up in Fleet communications and the Redoubt was lost to the firepower of several Valor's. The Richmond was also lost. However, the entire Gallic Fleet was destroyed. The following ships confirmed destroyed:
  • RNS Condor (Valor)
    RNS Albatros (Valor)
    RNS Le Vengeur (Valor)
    RNS Circaete (Cruiser)
    RNS Overlord (Valor)
    Compressor (Cruiser)
    RNS Moineaux (Cruiser)

After the destruction of the main Gallic Fleet I switched my Challenger for my Templar and assisted Ensign's Beaumont and Di Marco taking out a Corsair and Gaian that had decided to show up, as well as the remaining Gallic Fleet's snub cover. After all the trash was mopped up I docked on Leeds and signed off.

[Attached Files: * * * * * * * *]

Note: A rather large "Nomad" entity "-{-Aurora" appeared. It caused a localised Ion storm in the Leeds system and caused the entire fleet to lose power. It also seemed to be running some form of software which seemed to be malfunctioning, from what I could guess from it's nonsensical messages. Lt Cdr Arland guessed it was Windows Vista or somesuch. The alien entity aided us in destroying the Gallic Fleet.
