April 1st and 2nd Wednesday/Thursday,

April 1st, at 9:00 BLST (Bretonian-Leeds Standard Time) I engaged hostile Kusari forces mid-way between Stokes and Planet Leeds. I was alone, along with the Kusarian. The battle lasted somewhere between an Hour to three or four hours.

I deployed in my Paladin, the enemy was in a Chimera with a standard Kusarian load out. We engaged each other mid-way. The battle attracted quite a few people, many if not all supporting Bretonia, a Molly showed, Lt. Richard showed up, even a Junker with a Gallian accent. Planetform entered the system as, only the Junker stayed to see the Kusarian's ship explode.

Uploading Gun-cam shots.

Engagement Start

As you can see, here I was able to take his shields down quickly, this was like this the entire battle. He dropped my shielding a total of at least, fifteen times.

About to pop

This, I thought was just going to be cool to go onto my report. As you can see, the target ship was starting to crack, and instead of fleeing, He actually fought harder.

Engagement ends

The Engagement ends, his ship turns to stardust, he ejects and lives to fight another day. I have to say that this pilot was actually one of the best I've faced, at least he didn't run.

That ends this report then. Going to take a good rest and I'll be back in action later.

Signed,

Bretonian Armed Forces Leeds Defense Fleet,
Prince of the Paladin,

Ensign Austin Goodman.

John Richards is sat around, knee deep in his nightly drunk in the Officer's mess as Goodman's report is being passed around.

"Mm yes, Goodman got in a fight today, yes. I watched some of it. It really did go on a very long time though. I came around half-way through, and I had to leave after twenty minutes or so because a Planetform employee needed an escort through Edinburgh and back. That went down fine by the way. He was a nice chap and it's good to see Planetform staying strong even through the warzones. I came back after half an hour and they were still going at it. Goodman always had him of course, and it was just a matter of time, but still, Goodman's strong display of solo valour was, I felt, highly commendable. Yes, quite. Beyond that, I didn't see much else. Some Molly was out and about, but he didn't cause any trouble because of the Kusari and whatnot. Yes, good day, good Goodman."

He finishes talking when he realises he's blathering somewhat, hands the report on to the next officer and tops up his glass of claret.

Report to the Admiralty Board:

I am pleased to report that my 2 week project of reform of the Suffolk Great Fleet is now complete. As ordered, fleet rosters have been checked and updated, the new wings of Paladin Heavy Fighters have been fully integrated into the Fleet's patrol squadrons in New London, and I have overseen the transfer of 2 full battle squadrons to the Leeds Planetary Fleet under Lord Admiral Fairfax, to reinforce our defences in Leeds and replace recent casualties.

As for the Suffolk herself, the entire ship has been cleaned from top to bottom, and key computer systems, including the previously faulty security system, have been replaced with the latest models running top-of-the range Ageira software. Coupled with tighter onboard security protocols, I am confident in my assessment that there can be no repeat of last month's high profile security breach when myself and Admiral McKenna were breifly held at gunpoint in my own cabin by an escaped fugative.

With the Fleet restructuring complete, I am now once more reporting for active duty, and shall resume my regular duties as of today. I sent a transmission to Captain Harper to bring the Steadfast around to pick me up and.... although he is currently several hours late, I remain confident that I shall be back in space before the day is out.

April 2nd, Mid-day. Leeds No-mans land

Bah, that was slightly entertaining.

Just got back from patrol and a long fight, yet again.

Anyways, my patrol started out like this, I walk into my room on board the Derby and I heard over the scramble channel that we have Corsair's in Cambridge. I rushed down to my fighter and quickly launched. I get in space and I'm met with John Galt, one of our Ensigns. Secured communications was thrown over from Lt.Cdr. Hobart.

After being confused for a few, long, minutes. I finally recieved an order to rendezvous with Sir Brinkley at Southampton. Ens. Galt follows me. Upon rendezvousing we turn back around and head towards Leeds, again. Jumping in I get confused in the mayhem and the randomness of our communications. Then I proceed to move to the Cambridge hole, where I was met with retreating Corsair forces, apparently I was late to scramble my fighter, and a majority of the enemies had fled back to Cambridge, then Omega-5.

Upon chasing them as far as the Omega-3 hole in Cambridge, I return to Leeds orbit where a Kusarian, an Ensign much like myself. Was saying something. I wasn't really paying attention. After a few long minutes of us exchanging words back and forth I finally managed to get him to agree to a one on one duel. To the destruction of the ship. He accepted.

Sir Brinkley had the battle wing, which outnumbered Kusarian forces gathered around Stokes about three to one. He had them stand down. The Kusarian, acting as current flight leader also had his side of the line stand down. Neither side engaged in combat. Other then me and this Ensign.

Guncam Shot

This shot was taken a few minutes into the battle. As you can see I was forcing him to waste his nanobots, wearing him down.

Guncam Shot 2

This show was captured moments before he was forced to eject. Wearing him down worked exactly how I wanted it to.

Guncam Shot 3

Finally his ship succumbed to the pressure outside, and a few more Tachyon shots. He was forced to eject.

Another Kusarian Naval Forces ship was near by. Instead of engaging, I let him pick up his Ensign's pod and return back to Stokes.

Hopefully, Kusari is starting to slowly learn the stepping in Leeds, was a bad mistake. It might not be a moral blow to the Kusarians for losing a Chimera belonging to an Ensign. But it's a moral victory for us.

I do hope this chap get's a new fighter, and more training. Throwing a fresh squinty on the battlefield isn't the brightest thing to do. I do however salute this chaps bravery, and am hoping to face him again on the battlefield.

Signed,

Bretonian Armed Forces Leeds Defense Fleet,
Prince of the Paladin,

Ensign Austin Goodman.

P.S. Getting the hang of this ship. Starting to love it more then my Templar.

We received a distress signal from one of those mysterious creatures known as A.D.M.I.N.S. and scrambled all available units to find the so called 'Guardian of Sirius'.

With our combined forces with the BPA we conducted an efficient search of our territory. There were many other parties searching, afterall, who knows what knowledge these A.D.M.I.N.S. possess? We didn't want him to fall into unfriendly, or enemy hands, and so we searched in earnest, our combined efforts leading us to find him quickly.
Fortunately he had sustained no serious damage. After performing a thorough scan of his vessel it was found he was holding many documents which he should have no access too. I have no idea how in Carina's name he obtained these, and he readily returned them after demand. As an apology, and thanks, he also provided several other documents which will assist in our war effort.
These shall be passed onto High Command as soon as possible.

Harrington out.
"Good Lord."

Richards wanders into the officer's mess in something of a daze. His face and hands are covered in the cuts one gets when parts of their ship are exploding all around them.

"Right chaps, well it's been a hell of an hour. I was raised from Norfolk by that bloody emergency alarm, apparently New London was under attack from that Mon'Star fellow, who is evidently some kind of high-level intergalactic terrorist. He had a rather strange friend with him, "Psi-Borg" or some such, in a much smaller vessel than the huge ship Mon'Star had, a type of which I had never seen before. Our sortie was myself, Lieutenant Commander Aldwyn and Lieutenant Ramey, along with one of her majesty's capital vessels, and a police constable by the name of Mguire. Ramey charged on in early as he is wont to do, then the rest of us assembled and engaged Mon'Star and Psi-Borg. Ramey and the capital vessel fell, but Mon'Star was finally destroyed. Around this time a Pilgrim Liner bearing the cross of The Brotherhood appeared, and engaged us along with Psi-Borg. Lieutenant Commander Aldwyn sacrificed his ship to destroy Psi-Borg, a maneouver that I have no doubt saved my life and Mguire's. Mguire and myself took on the liner for a good long battle as well, but it finally fell. Seconds later my ship would have been destroyed.
Mguire and I pulled out victoriously and landed on Southamption Shipyard to be greeted with extortionate repair bills. Good show everyone, especially Aldwyn's high risk maneouver, and Mguire's dogged persistence (he was there before the rest of us, and only he and myself survived the entire conflict).
Also, amongst the many things I had tractored in during the battle, was this.
I will retain this in my hold, as it is something I hadn't seen before, and looks to be rather important. I'll pass it along up the chain of command so they can take a look. Apparently this Mon'Star chap had a few of these and he planned to use them.

Right, I believe I have earned a weekend on the Shetland. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to get my yacht."

Speech over, Richards finishes his whisky and abruptly leaves.

General Orders to Flag Officers:

Gentlemen

Please pass this on the various wing commanders, ASAP.

The trader Theseus has been identified as an enemy of Bretonia. His ship is to be destroyed on contact.

Entering Leeds from New London, a small BAF scouting unit led by myself encountered the vessel, noted he was carrying Nomads, and he was asked to stop.

Instead, he docked on the Durham Border station and disposed of them there. Decontamination crews are attempting to locate and destroy the contamination.

Furthermore, he has a Nomad thruster, and refused our orders to dispose of it and get one made by human hands.

He then ran, and while making his escape, threatened to return and destroy us with a gunboat.

Clearly, he and his vessel are infected, and must be destroyed.

Fleet Admiral Percy Nelles

Transmiting Message:
With ref to above duel of Ensign Goodman,.

Aye I was watching the fight through till its end. I was impressed, our Ensign did very well. The Kusarian could hardly land a punch on him. And any doubts about the quality of the Paladin can be laid to rest. There is one good ship.

Too bad its use is still restricted. I appeal to the Admiralty to make its production a priority. And will welcome some more training.

John Galt.

Subject: After Action Report: California System

Last night I was on patrol with a BPA officer Nate James around planet Leeds when a Junker ship captained by a mister Meyers showed up. I checked it out and found his cargo bay to be filled to the bulkheads with refugees. After hailing him to question where he was taking them, and finding his destination to be Planet Pittsburgh, we agreed to provide escort to the edge of our border, at which point he had arranged for an LPI officer to take over our watch.

For the most part our escort was largely uneventful, but on the last leg of our journey to the Magellan-->California jump gate, we were ambushed by a Lane Hacker gunship. He attempted to hail the Junker ship and demand tax for safe passage, but the transport was already passing through the jump gate. Before we could intervene the gunship gave chase through the gate to California. Hesitating for just a moment, I took into account the fact that the transport had no chance against the gunship's firepower, that there were several hundred innocent refugees onboard, and that we were on friendly terms with Liberty. I decided that it was our responsibility to defend the refugees and ensure that they safely arrived at their destination, and with the (very recently recruited) BPA officer nervously agreeing to fly wingmate, we pursued the gunship through the gate.

We came out the other side in the California system to see the gunship disabling the lane and firing on the transport. We immediately began strafing the gunship and forced it to turn its attention to us while the transport rabbited away. The LPI officer showed up about 30 seconds into the engagement, and after a hurried explanation for our presence at the edge of Liberty space, moved in to assist us. Evenly matched, it took about 7 minutes to dispatch the enemy. I have a feeling that, had the gunship been in the hands of a better-skilled pilot, we would not have been so lucky.

After the battle concluded we hailed the Junker transport to ensure that it had reached it's destination safely, and promptly headed back to the Bretonian border, letting the LPI officer know we were glad to be of assistance and joking that we hoped we hadn't caused the man too much paperwork. I was contacted several minutes later by an LPI commanding officer, and, after explaining our presence in Liberty once more, was given thanks and a request to alert Liberty authorities ahead of time, if possible, the next time such a scenario occurred.

All in all, it was an interesting patrol.

Report Start

Well, its good to be back serving the crown once again! Got straight down to business with reports of a known terrorist and all-around vile "person", Mon'Star, holding up right here in New London. The cheek! Unfortunately, extensive patrols couldn't find where he was holding up at and the search was abandoned.

Whilst on the search, a filthy Kusari mercenary came on the hunt for me and decided to strike just outside Southampton. Being a little rusty to say the least, not to mention the fact his speed and agility far exceeded that of my bomber. I was forced to eject and get patched up at Southampton, leaving the mercenary to the wrath of the other officers on duty at the time.

Much later on in the day, after the chaps at Southampton managed to find me a new bomber, I was called to an emergency situation in Leeds. Apparently two Kusari warships thought they could mess with the might of the armed forces. Oh how wrong they were. The heated battle took place in Leeds and we were up against a Kusari gunboat and destroyer.

After a short time, the destroyer was downed, with my supernova making the Hamamatsu's power core to go critical.
The gunboat was a little more fickly, but it was downed nonetheless.

All in all, a modest day to re-start my commitment to the proud Armed Forces and hopefully I can continue to bring justice to all of Bretonia.

For the crown,

Ens. Rachel Malrone
