Patrol Report

Sirs,
I started my patrol today in the Cambridge system which quickly turned sour in many different ways.

First, after scanners showed Corsairs in the system, i was confronted by the sight of not one but three Huntress Cruisers up to no good!
Second, after locating the Cruisers, and keeping my distance, i was hailed by a [WDR] pilot claiming i was flying a corsair ship!!

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/S...67/screen29.jpg

I would have fined him for the insult but whilst trying to talk to this man on comms the sneaky Corsair blighters snuke up on me and engaged.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/S.../screen31-1.jpg

Needless to say, although i tried my best, they pushed my tailpipe over my cockpit, so to speak!!

Whilst in my escape pod i wonderd what three cruisres would be doing in Bretonia ? but on landing on Cambridge my comms recorder told me the answer,

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/S.../screen33-1.jpg

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/S.../screen34-1.jpg

I think that these criminals should be put on our hit list and hunted down like dogs, for that is what they are.

On a side note i would like to enter Ens. Tom Ramey for a commendation for an act of bravery. These same Cruisers made thier way through Bretonia and into Leeds where the Ensign was stationed. He asked for permission to engage, which i denied and to await backup to take on these things. He accepted these orders but had no choice when approached by one off these Cruisers. The Ensign managed to chase the Cruiser out of the system. This , sirs, is an act of courage if ever i saw one.

I am currently docked and explaining to the quartermaster why i need another new Templer.

Well now, I'll try to make this as brief as possible. I came on duty to find Cdre Nelson under attack by gaians. I scrambled to intercept them, but by the time I had arrived it was already over, with one gaian fleeing, and one destroyed. We then split up into patrols. I was with Ens. Rockford, and the patrol was rather uneventful. However, another patrol sighted Major Fubar, the gaian M-26 gunboat, and gave chase. By this time, I had switched from my Templar to my Challenger, since the Challenger is better for smuggler catching, and this was definitely the right move, as we eventually caught up with him in the Southampton scrap field. Thanks to Harris and Rockford's efforts, the Gaian's shields failed and I was able to get an SN shot to hit his ship. Judging by the size of the explosion, I must have hit either the main fuel stores or the reactor. However, we were unable to recover Major Fubar's escape pod. After the destruction of the M-26, the BAF group thinned out a little, leaving just me and Hobart. Hobart was out in cortez by this stage, although I'm not completely sure what he was doing there. I found out that a pair of Corsairs was pirating and destroying traders in the Cambridge system. I notified Hobart, who didn't respond, and engaged. I was outgunned from the start, with a Titan and another M-26 chasing after my Challenger. I went evasive and decided to stall for time to allow Hobart to arrive. Despite running out of nanobots and sustaining serious damage to my hull, I was able to survive long enough for Hobart to bring reinforcements. Hobart was able to call up Ens. Ramey and the HMS Iron Duke. Although it took the Iron Duke a little longer to arrive than Hobart and Ramey, we were able to take out the gunboat thanks to Hobart's careful aiming which took down its shields, and then a lucky hit from me hitting its engine tubes. Then, the Iron Duke arrived and made short work of the titan. Seeing as I'd struck the killing blow on two M-26s, I decided to celebrate with drinks all around on the Norfolk. However, I think that somebody in the bar must have got me to drink a pint of beer for every SN shot I had missed that day, meaning that I woke up a few minutes ago with an awful headache.
---Results of all Sorties---
1 Corsair titan destroyed
2 M-26 Gunboats destroyed
1 Gaian ship (unknown class) destroyed
1 Gaian ship (unknown class) fled
1 Challenger critically damaged
1 Challenger heavily damaged
1 Templar lost due to faulty mine dropper

Ok. Well, as I came on shift, I was sent to patrol Cambridge. It was rather uneventful, and nothing much happened until LtCdr. Aldwyn called us to Leeds, as an IKN ship had entered the system. We rushed up there, but the cruiser had fled. We then went hunting it in Tau-31. We managed to find a couple of smugglers, but were unfortunately able to either capture them or get records of their cargoes. Later, however, I recieved word from Clancy Wiggum of the LPI that a software smuggler, Archie, was heading towards Bretonia. I found him carrying a trainload of pirated software, and he had the nerve to ask me where the Dublin jump hole was. Unfortunately I gave him one chance too many to stop and he ran off to the Edimburgh hole. He would have been caught by me, however, but I saw another trader, Gourd_Head_Transport, carrying a trainload of Plutonium, so I made a quick decision that a trainload of counterfeit software was going to do less damage than a trainload of plutonium. The second smuggler complied to my requests and entered LD14, under heavy guard. I didn't stick around once he'd entered the security checks, but I believe that the Plutonium had been offloaded. However, earlier I sent Ens. Rockford to head off the first smuggler at Dublin. Unfortunately, this had attracted the attention of some people there having a race, and one MR vessel and a mercenary followed him back into New London. After they refused to leave, we engaged. A regular Molly rogue gunboat patrol also attacked, so we retreated to New London, where I sent the order to attack all enemy ships above the planet. However, my message must have been rather garbled and they initiated a total lockdown and attacked all ships above the planet, including me! Rockford went down early, running in to his own mine, and leaving me facing two MR ships (a second had joined the fight) and the mercenary, Tobias"Smile"Long. Luckily for me, the MR were in Barghests, and with a few lucky strikes from my SN, they ended up floating in their escape pods. I tried to do the same to the merc, but he was bloody good with his missiles and I ended up having everything stripped off my ship except the SN and my nuke mine dropper. With that little remaining to me, and the lockdown still in place, I was forced to initiate an emergency landing.
After that, as if this much wasn't enough, Hobart arrived and we went on a patrol of Cambridge, hunting down a 'Sair, HellMarch (whose ship had been rebuilt after yesterday's scuffle). He fled, but the fight with the mollys had left me so worn out that I was falling asleep in my Templar. I landed it on Norfolk, where I proceeded to write this report
---Sortie results---
1 Templar lost
1 Challenger critically damaged
2 MR Barghests destroyed
2994 units of plutonium intercepted
1 Corsair M-26 fled
1 pot of hot earl grey tea and 2 freshly made crumpets earned, thank you very much

Thought I'd best let you all know about this one. I received reports through my sources, of a Corsair crusier in Cambridge, and apparently it had destroyed a liner on its route to the planet. I roused a wing of pilots, some in challengers, others in Templars, and headed off to intercept the bastard and remove his threat permanently. I came across him at the Omega-3 jumphole, and with the Nimbus, and a couple of others egaged the ship immediately. My scans failed to pick up his ID - I imagine one of the others will have a record of it - but he didn't last long, and my SNAC took him out before he could do any real damage.

Shortly after a HAF force attacked. We intercepted them at New London, and destroyed them all. Unfortunately my gun-cams malfunctioned and I have no record of the engagement. I believe Admiral Nelles got a full record though.

Right. *Sigh*
Cossach- Corsair pirate pilot founded at Souhtampton shipyard, while doing criminal activity of stealing and destroying Queen property. I gave him chance to return all stolen things, but he had to play hard. Why dont they never lissen. Nevermind that, since next time he should wiser. Ship destroyed, and his escape pod not found. Suprise!
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=fkw235&s=5

Next case. A pirate fella in Chimera. Interesting. Very. Naval Force seems sent out their criminals to hunting/harvesting/killing spree to our space. Lt.Cooper was already engaged with this criminal in London system, while I was patroling Newcastle. Pirate was fighting well, so I need to jump into fight to save Lt.Cooper backside.

Special report: Jelly thing
At Monday this week, two strange object were noticed from Cambridge orbit satelites. Objects in space didnt match any know ship design or shape. Lt.Cooper and me head to Cambridge planet to see those unknow things from some close distance. Erm. That wasnt too smart. I am not enough paid for this job, becouse I never know that I will have to meet them. Right, Nomads they were. One big ship, and one small. My knowlidge is limited, but I would say that was might compare with cruiser class ships. So, here they are, Cambridge planet. 4th combined Wild/Nomad ship detected near Cambridge research station this month. Like in last three attempts, they were seeking something from that station. Panic spread in Cambridge fast, so we have to close Cambridge planet for all traffic. But, same as they mysterius came, they even more mysteriusly vanish from our scanners. Again, I saw light, and visions, and everything that follow Jelly things. Only one photo of 100 taken shoots show those things. Rest 99 photos just...desapered from our ship computers
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2n7ei9w&s=5

Hacker in Making. Interesting name. I find out, he was really in making as hes name should sugest. A bloody ready for war Lane Hacker gunship, harvesting traders in Leeds system. I had enough of him. I saw him earlyer, in past few days, I warned him, if I ever see him again in Bretonia space, I wont be so kind to him. But, they just never lissen me. So, here, again, that Hacker entered Leeds to earn coins on pirate way. Right, this time, I changed words for guns. Ship destroyed, no escape pods founded.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2znny93&s=5

Smuggler with Counterfiet softweres, intercepted in New London system. Name: OTC Andre Coruum. Not a talkative fella at all. When I almost spent my tanks of O2 on just talking to him, he was just trying to run. Right, smuggler, I had enough, he refused to drop his cargo, tried to escape, not paid fine, and I took my last resort, hes ship was destroyed, ilegal goods were delivered to Police depot at New London planet. He had some 4000 units of those, pirate copied things.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2d0nggx&s=5

Well, again smuggler. Smokey Bones was he. Again pirate copied programmes, 4300 units of those things. Well...Damn. He get away. So close...Fine wasnt paid, so if you see him in Bretonia space, fine him.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6ygqqp&s=5

Next case. Hippie pilot, atacked Ensign Goodman, Lt. Carter and me near Leeds planet. Just to add, hippie didnt had any wingman support, he atacked us, while we had a lunch break, a lone. Madness. Goodman tried his tactic of talking him to death, but Gaian didnt like to be killed by lack of O2, so he engaged us. Well, long story short, Gaian pilot was so depresed becouse all that smog in Leeds system, that he hit his own mine. Of course, no pods were found after.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2m2j9g6&s=5

A...Erm. Kusari state police.Erm.Yes. You heard right. In Leeds. Yes, you heard right. Ensign Phoenix, Lt.Carter, Ensign Goodman and me was again haveing lunch break at Leeds planet, when we saw a know ship design, Catamaran. Right. What to hell was he doing here. Madness, and then, he even atack us, destroying Mr.Goodman ship. Right, give him hell I said, so we opened fire with everything that could damage him. Kusari ship was destroyed, for a cost of one of our.

Special report: Corsair invasion
After two weeks of low 'Sair activity in Bretonia space, they launch a big, massive invasion of Cambridge system. Two 'Sair atacks in one day. Must be a new record.
First invasion was made by ships of Benitez family and The Brotherhood, which was repulsed by our force with no major losses on our side. Second atack, two hours latter, was launched by other 'Sair family-OPG, in support of massive volonteer Corsair fleet. We didnt had much problems with first 'Sair invasion, but fight with OPG was diferent story. Fight lasted for two and half hours, with constast reinforcments on both side. Just when we were getting upper hand, a big Ion storm hit Cambridge system, disabling ships controls on both our and 'Sair ships. Blast, we were just wining that. Complite camera record was made. Massive, and impresive fight. 4 H of fight with two massive invasions.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=fw6cl0&s=5
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2n66y61&s=5

Special report: Phantoms
Well, nothing much about them. While patroling Omega 3 system, I run into their ambush. So stupid from me, with no wingmans to help me out. Three of them, and rest of day I spent filling in reports on how did I lost Challenger in battle.

While haveing training in Salisbury we noticed that two pirates are blocking Birmightan station for all traffic. Lt.Gonta, Lt.Trotter and me moved to Manchester system, to remove threat. We gave pirates chance to leave, but they refused. So, we shoot them down. No losses on our side, complite victory, two destroyed pirate ships.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2hnb535&s=5

Gaians. Two M26 gunboats, 2 Eagles, 1 supporting ship. Total five of them entered Leeds system, and headed to LD-14. My old friend, Lt.Trotter, Lt.Carter, Ensign.Goodman, Rockwell, Ramey moved to LD-14 to protect station. They claim they have a peacefull protest, but that didnt seems so. They had a nice firepower for just a peacefull screaming of messages. We wasnt informed about any protests, so this one was a ilgeal one. So, we gave chance to Gaians to fall back to their nest, but, all they refused that as well. So, when two min that we gave to them, ended, so moved in, to use force, to scare those peacefull protestors. Just one Gaian ship escaped, rest was destroyed by our force, for cost of only Rockwell Templar.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=qn5st2&s=5

Smuggler Major Mayhem intercepted in London, but I didnt had power to stop him. Well, right, he hacked London docking rings, and landed at planet. 1000 units of Counterfiet softweres.

And that would be all for this week.

Allright... I did no report for a long time, since I dont enjoy paperwork but... I dont want to lose my recently gained rank so soon... Here are some reports from this weekend.

Lets start with Mollies... One Molly republic fella, Micheal Carruth, got out from his rocky base and jumped to Leeds. Me and formidable group of our new Ensigns started to search the system. We found him soon, but as I have no CD on my Templar, only thing I could do was playing cat and mouse. We chased him to West Leeds cloud, where another Molly named Patrick Quinlain (spelling may be wrong, my memory is getting worse and worse) joined him. They both turned on us and we had no other option than to open fire.
First one, Mr Carruth ate my mine after few minutes of fight. The other one, flying Greyhound, was very good pilot, we all had difficulties with taking him down. My Templar exploded suddenly, without any warning. I believe that mine I was dropping at the moment was caught in explosion radius of Ensign Rockwells' CD. Ensign Oleander picked up my pod.
There was some friendly fire included, as the battle became small minefield. I have no records on this however. Anyway, Molly escaped after most of his weapons were destroyed. After a while, we gave up on chasing him, he posed no threat anyway now.

Next day, Ensign Ring got in bad situation. He got to Magellan somehow, I believe he was chasing Lane hacker ship. Me and Lieutentant Commander Hobart were in Omega 3, hunting down one Corsair vessel. Other Ensigns, Goodman and Oleander I believe, were ordered to help Ring as soon as possible. I was ordered to do the same after we were finished in Omega 3. Ring was acting out there alone until we arrived. When we got there, there was almost nothing to shoot. Surprisingly, Hacker gunboat which was nearby retreated when its captain saw our force (mostly Templars), so we there was only one Falcata left for us.
In the right moment, Ive thrown razor shot at him, and he caught it. I must say that Ring suprised by his flying, as he survived in hostile territory when outnumbered. Bloody well done.

Yesterday, while we were drinking tea in Salisbury, and watching fight with Corsairs in New london on scanners, we received transmission about two Corsair vessels in Omega 3, both larger size, so me and Mr Hobart took our bombers. When we arrived to the system, we discovered that one 'Sair is flying a gunboat, and the other one Spatial. Pretty weird I say. They separated and we caught gunboat alone. After a while of escorting it home, it stopped and opened fire suddenly. We returned fire of course. When its shields failed, one SN shot made it explode. Surprise. It had no advanced armour. Meanwhile, his Spatial mate came to help him. Unfortunately for him, Spatial is very, very easy target for a bomber. I think he figured out after this fight.

Thats it...

Ah, I forgot... I recommend investigating one of our Ensigns, Austin Goodman. There are rumours about him having "connection" to some Gaian woman. Also, his past needs some investigation. He has slight Rheinlandish accent...

Ending report, have a nice day.

Lt. Jacob Carter

i have good news and bad news, the good news, is that i have just been given a long range comm unit.(i now have skype. my skype name is darthbeck)
the bad news....... *sigh*....
is that the molly's have an outcast destoyer, stationed in the dublin system.
it is fully armmed, and armored. i attack it..... sort of. i shot it a few time's with my sn cannon. more then a few. more like 15 times. how ever. i had no backup to help me,...... so i never even got his shieilds down to half. i tried to lure him to the battleship there, but they started to shoot wildly, like they were all drunk or something.i think that someone should look into that.
at this point i had a desroyer,a battleship, and a boatload... err "space load" of fighter's attacking me. sadly to say. i ran back to new londen .
if i had just one bomber to help. we might have been able to destroy the destroyer..... or mines.. my bomber currently is lacking mines.... i must remember to talk to the armorer about this.... my fighter could also use nukes....... but anyway, here is the log film

Comm ID: Lt. Commander Evyn Hunter
Subject: Coalition Attack on Cambridge

I cannot comment on the entire attack these Fascists launched on Cambridge, for I didn't arrive until after it had already started. What I do know is that we rapidly lost three of our own ships, two bombers and a fighter I believe, all Ensigns and Lieutenants. Along with this, two of the Tiger mercenaries also lost their ships. But beyond this point, we suffered no losses. Lt. Commander James Hobart, Lieutenant Serge Gonta, and a Bounty Hunter named Skye. The four of us engaged the Coalition forces of Guang Jie's Viper MkII fighter, Alexi Karchov's Ravens Talon fighter, Viktor Sotskov's Taiiden Bomber, Luis Gellantra's Taiiden Bomber, Nitchev Lanakov's Ravens Talon fighter, Viktor Novorsky's Stinger. Navorsky was a mercenary, apparently who has worked with the Coalitioners before, and then lastly, the Coalition Flagship Karl Marx, an Osiris-class battleship. A Bounty Hunter, Kenny Hawk, also arrived, but stayed at range from the battle. Eventually the Coalition sent a bomber and fighter after it, but the Hunter destroyed both of their ships.

The HMS Majestic, under command of Captain John Redmond, eventually arrived at the scene of the battle, but kept its distance due to the Coalition's two bombers and Osiris, where as we had only one bomber. Both sides sent their fighter screens at the other side's, while keeping their battleships in reserve. Our four pilots fought excellently, and caused major damage to the bombers, despite the fact that they used the Karl Marx as a mobile defense. Their battleship repaired the bombers several times each throughout the fight, causing it to drag on longer. However, we did destroy Alexi Karchov's Ravens Talon early on. Eventually the battleship ceased repairing the bombers, probably so it'd be able to defend itself against the Majestic. We took out Viktor Sotskov's, and Luis Gellantra's Taiiden Bombers, Guang Jie escaped, but we got both Lanakov's Ravens Talon and Navorsky's Stinger.

With its fighter screen and bomber support destroyed, the Karl Marx tried to retreat. We stopped it with a steady stream of Cruise Disrupters. The Majestic was unable to close range with it, so we used it like they had used the Karl Marx. The Majestic repaired damaged fighters and bombers while we took down the Karl Marx. It was destroyed only a few kilometers away from the Omega-5 jump hole. The entire force worked together to weaken the ship until my shots finally punctured the armor protecting the ship's power core, creating an explosion that incinerated what was left of the ship.

With the fight over, we formed on the Majestic and rendezvoused with the Norfolk, where our fighters and bombers were repaired, and our now-shipless brethren dropped off.

The individual results were as follows:

Guang Jie, Viper Mk II - Fled
Alexi Karchov, Ravens Talon - Destroyed by Evyn Hunter
Viktor Sotskov, Taiiden Bomber - Destroyed by Evyn Hunter
Luis Gellantra, Taiiden Bomber - Destroyed by Kenny Hawk - Photo unavailable
Nitchev Lanakov, Ravens Talon - Destroyed by Kenny Hawk - Photo unavailable
Viktor Navorsky, Stinger - Destroyed by HMS Majestic
Karl Marx, Osiris-class Battleship - Destroyed by group effort, final shot by Evyn Hunter

Subject: HAF Corsair fleet activity

Officer Thorn and myself have just learned additional information about the new HAF Corsair group. I'm still not quite sure what it stands for, but if "AF" stands for "Armed Forces" I may have to speak to a therapist. But moving on, we encountered a group of fighters and bombers in the Cambridge system. They outnumbered us, but their bombers where less effective against my Templar and Thorn's Hussar. We managed to chase away a Titan with the callsign "Sir-Dark," but in the process where drawn into a fight with a Osiris-class battleship. We thrusted back to the Norfolk and drove them away with our sharp-witted insults. In bringing a battleship against an already outnumbered enemy, they revealed it's name and weapons. Additionally, they did not manage to significantly disrupt trading activity in Cambridge.

[attachmentid=5534]

It's callsign is HAF-C-Moctezuma.

It was firing mostly Cerebrus turrets with at least one Battle Razor cannon. It had difficulty hitting our small fighters, so bombers may be better than capitol ships when dealing with it.
