Salutations,

Yesterday's mission was rather... interesting, to say the least. I flew as part of a flight with Lieutenant Commander Arland, Lieutenant Commander Goodman, and Captain Blair. The force composition was 3 Templars and 1 Paladin. We rendezvoused at Southampton Shipyard, where Lieutenant Commander Goodman explained the situation (apparently, someone from the GRN wanted to defect) and told us where to meet her: near the Edinburgh jump gate in the Leeds system.

The journey to the jump gate went off without a hitch, and when we arrived at the agreed meeting spot the defector (one Sophie Savoie) was on patrol with a pair of rookiees whom our flight dispatched quickly and efficiently. We took her to Trafalgar Station, where we awaited contact from our superiors. Admiral Davis arrived in a Templar and talked with the defector; once an agreement was reached, Lt. Cdr. Goodman was left to keep an eye on Ms. Savoie while the remainder of the flight embarked on a patrol (force composition: 4 Templars).

We were subsequently engaged by a mixed force of Reavers and Mollies (including a gunboat) near New London and were forced to initiate a fighting retreat to safe territory. The Admiral was regrettably shot down during the fighting, though he was safe afterwards. I was the last to make it to safety; I landed on New London.

Lieutenant Commander Goodman,
To hear about all this matter right now is disturbing. You should have informed the admiralty board about your small operation. Still, by reading your report I understand the reasons why you haven't informed us in time. Such kind of operations should be dealt with higher level of security - or in this situation - by informing only few instead of us all.

My answer may surprise you: Two of your statments can be accomplished. The defector Sophie Savoie can be given Bretonian Citizenship through Military Service and cooperation with the Armed Forces. Considering she has earned your trust and respect - she can also be assigned to 5th Suffolk fleet under your supervision. As for your request to just let her be like she is a normal ensign with bretonian origin - that wont happen. She will be interrogated in Suffolk by us and if I find it necessary - from BIS agents as well. Sophie may give us important information as well as tactical advantage.

If Sophie agrees to cooperate - she will join our forces as Ensign. As for her treatment with respect - that is something to be earned not given. We shall observe her actions against her own people on the battlefield.

I already informed her that she would have to go through interrogation, so it wouldn't be necessary with BIS Agents, I can assure you that. On top of it, seeing as she's under my supervision, I'd like to sit in on the interrogations. I'm sure you can allow me that, considering it's better than the... alternative request of having my proper rank restored.

Seeing as you won't restore my proper rank, and that she's under my supervision. She won't be staying on the Suffolk once her patrols are over with. When she's off-duty, she'll be at my Ranch house on Cambridge, the only time she's allowed to step foot on a Dunkirk or Military base until Admiralty feels content with her are when she's on-duty or with me.

That way, she's not gathering information on our troop strength, fleet operations, or patrol deployment times.

I'd like to remind you, that this is her request and not mine. She feels the interrogations and future questionings will go smoother if she wasn't granted or forced to stay at one of the military installations. That way, the people interrogating her will not have any pathetic leverage to use against her.

Trust me. I know how interrogations go.

Alternatively, because I'm taking full responsibility for her and her actions, if she did play me as a fool - then she played all of us as a fool - and this way will make it easier for me to fight any court martial or treason charges, because I warned you well before hand that something outlined in this transmission may have happened - though I doubt it will because she came to us for help.

Attention!
All pilots and high ranked officers from the armed forces must check this communication channel: BALeeds134.
It's providing information about the permission for the Liberty Security Forces to operate in some of our systems. All details can be found on the transmission above as well as the terms for their visit. You must tolerate them as friendly forces and do not disrupt their operations.

Trusting the above is sufficiently clear,

Report regarding yesterday's engagement in the Southampton-Leeds Jump Gate area.

I launched that evening for a regular patrol sortie, linking up with Lt. Commander Goodman and Ensign Savoie. We were asked by police inspector Page to assist with escorting the Interspace Commerce barge, Washington, to Southampton Shipyard from Newcastle.

Pictured here is the initial escort wing.

We noticed the barge was being followed and rammed by cloaked ships, one of which named "Morbius." However, it wasn't until we reached New London that combat began in earnest.

We were first assailed by the CGS|, as shown -here.-

However, more soon arrived, and they were joined by several other hostile independents. There were far too many bombers than our fighters could successfully shield the larger craft from, and as such, the barge, as well as the HMS Wesker and the Toolbox, a repair craft, were taken out of action.

However, we logged several kills as well, evidence of which are filed below.

-4-

As well as a couple of CGS|es who docked, as evidenced -here- and -here.-

After the battle was over, there were still a couple of pirates lingering in the system, but given the ample lawful presence other than us in New London, it appears as though Admiral Davis saw fit to recall all primary fleet personnel involved to Leeds, which is where I signed off.

Apparently his decisions rankled the remainder of lawfuls there, as they were left to deal with the pirates without our assistance, but that is not a matter I can personally provide much input on as I was not giving orders.

Arland out.

End of message.

Welcome back Admiral Wilhelm Deneth Aleski,
You heard right, the commanding office of the 5th fleet was empty. You can proceed to Suffolk where you will find your new office and Headquarters. I already added you on the fleet command. Good luck.

Goodman here,

Encountered a lone Corsair Titan floating around New London - dangerously close to the Suffolk, while I was suppose to be off duty for a few hours, my ships were ready for emergency launch had any emergencies popped up, this happened to be the case.

Moving on, I managed to down the Corsair without much trouble, and then was called to support a few miners in the Dublin system who were reportedly being attacked by two Molly destroyers.

Naturally, I disobeyed orders and took up command of the Invictus and was shortly met by Commander Ozzel of the Leeds. Both the crew of the Invictus and the Leeds were supported by Commander Mike Havering (whose bomber was unfortunately shot down, seconds into the initial engagement) and Lieutenant Commander Arland, who had his duck face on and wasn't shot down.

Both the Leeds and the Invictus took down a Molly destroyer without much hassle as it decided to flee for once, rather than fight. The second destroyer was no where to be found. The Leeds was registered to get the last hit on the Molly destroyer.

Other than that, it was a rather quiet day.

Admiral Aleski,

First, I'd like to congratulate you on becoming the Commanding Officer of the 5th Suffolk Fleet, it's good to have a friend and capable thinker in charge around here.

Moving straight to the point, however, I'd like to request the formation of a tactical deployment fighter squad, known as the Suffolk Sabre's. As described below for members, and their roles within the Squadron.

  • Admiral Deneth Aleski (Logistical / Overall Command)
  • Lietuenant Commander Austin Goodman (Tactical Command)
  • Lieutenant Commander James Arland (Combat)
  • Ensign Arthur Davenport (Combat / Support)
  • Ensign Sophie Savoie (Combat)
  • OPEN (Combat / Support)

A fifth place is available, however, I'd like that spot to remain open until I can find a suitable placement.

Lieutenant-Commander Goodman,

It is a privilege to command the fleet I was first assigned to as an Ensign. I am eager to exercise my new functions with diligence and competence.

Now, as for your request, I am supportive of your initiative. In fact, the creation of a dedicated, rapid deployment fighter/strike squadron in the 5th Fleet was an idea I was toying with recently.

I know your tactical abilities as well as your leadership skills quite well. I trust in your capacity to mount this squadron and make it a potent, flexible and lethal fighting force. I'll look after the logistical aspects of all this.

Report to me for further debriefing.

Admiral Deneth Aleski

Force Commander of the HMS-Suffolk
