Dear Sirs,

I undertook a regular patrol in Leeds System yesterday, which although containing a great deal of traffic, was rather uneventful. I did run into two new BMM mining ships which seemed to have forgotten to install proper IDs. I informed them of their oversight and they attended to it straight away, and with much appreciation for the reminder.

I was then summoned to a fight between Capt. Hunter, Ens. Reid, and several allies versus certain Corsairs in New London. I participated a short bit before losing my ship to the Corsair vessel Karolis. As Capt. Hunter reminded me, I will need to be quicker on the bots/bats replenishment switch in the future. I am currently resting on the Suffolk with fairly minor injuries, and I hope to be flying again in short order.

Respectfully yours,

Ens. N. Buchanan

Bloody quiet day in Leeds. Good, I suppose, for the peace in Bretonia. Only one thing of note, ran across a [Murderers] Bomber banging away at one of our Gunships, HMS Unyielding honor. The GB was getting mauled, so I stepped in finished him after a long drawn shoot.

He looks his report over once again now that it is finished with a tired look on his face. Getting up he walks over to the wet bar in his office undoing the top button on his shirt and loosening his tie. He pours himself a double shot of whiskey before returning back to his desk. Taking a small sip from his glass followed by a grimace he speaks 'that's the stuff' out loud, even though there is no one else in the room but him. Finally he takes his seat again and presses the button for his assistant to come into the room. He hands the man the paperwork for him to turn in on the capt.s behalf then dismisses him. His eyes turn and glaze over as his mind wanders off to all the battles fought, all the men lost, and all the horror accumulated over the years. This will again, be a very long night.

______________

At 0800 I started my patrol in Dublin where I came across a freelancer with the ship ID Eden.Triumphant holding BAF prisoners onboard. After a short chase, the Freelancer released the prisoners to give him time to escape.

Shortly after, at 0852 I came across a vigilante ship named Schutzengel. My deutsche is a bit rusty, but I believe it means "Guardian Angel". Needless to say however, I quickly escorted the ship away from Bretonian space as to discourage him and his kind feeling at home here for obvious reasons. He was happy to oblige me with no retaliation of any kind.

Later, at 1113 hours I was contacted by lt. Bridge who was engaged with a Corsair gunboat named GRAF|Xvito and a Titan fighter class named L.O.S.T.-Capo. He informed me that he was not alone however and that Ensign Lancelot and BAF volunteer Tensdale were also engaged, all in Templars. Seeing how I had no time to call in my Challenger at derby for battle, I joined the men in my Templar. Both ships were destroyed. The pilots and crews are MIA currently. Search parties have been dispatched and will continue to look for survivors for the next 48 hours while there is a small chance of survival.

1442 hours, I was contacted by the BPA officer Lucy Silsbury informing me of a possible Kusari spy in the New London system. When I arrived, I found out that the spy she was talking about is part of the BAF volunteer group the |Lions|. Officer Silsbury was accusing mr Rantari and his organization of trading with the Kusari. However further investigations harvested no real proof as of yet. I advise further observation to be made before we act on this matter, specially since the |Lions| organization has been aiding the BAF in battle.

Lastly, at 1803 I was informed of the presence of the smuggler JN|Renkoy|N in New London. I proceeded to the scene where we found the ship and it's crew refusing to pay the BPA their fines and taking refuge at the junker base trafalgar. We were unable to apprehend these criminals due to an ion storm interference.

Greetings officers,

Yesterday Leeds was the scene of a strange skirmish against the KNF. The fleet, if we can call it so, was composed of the battleship IKN-Katashi and a lone chimaera, pilot's name was Faythe Yamasaki. Were present on our side numerous BAF officers and ensigns, including admiral Hobart himself, commodore Frost, commander Driscoll, lieutenant commander Williams, lieutenant Shinoda, lieutenant Westbrook, ensign Woodrow, ensign Tensdale, and numerous others.

Although the hostile ships were not from the same battlegroup, they both went for pourparley. The admiral granted this request for both and instructed us to keep our taunts for ourselves, hence following the principle of excellent conduct even to hated ennemies. For one part, admiral Hobart and captain Komatsu from the IKN-Katashi exchanged long and cordial views on the ongoing conflict and the situation, before issuing the demand to leave.

The captain Komatsu refused as expected, and our forces engaged the battleship, bringing him quickly to a critical damage state, seemingly due to a weakness in the 8th layer of the reinforced hull as confirmed a later structural analysis. What was unexpected was the surrendering of the IKN-Katashi :

log

After further negociations about the term of the surrender, it was agreed that the captain Komatsu would not be taken alive but his crew will be granted mercy and safety. The evacuation followed smoothly and the prisoners were conveyed to planet Leed, where our ground forces took the rest of the operation in charge. After completion, admiral Hobart ordered the destruction of the battleship.

Faythe Yamaski never made a move about this but patiently waited to gain audience with lieutenant Blair, as she would not speak to anyone else. Considering the pacific behavior she proved until now, compared to the cost of her forced evacuation, she was granted the right to wait in Leeds space until lieutenant Blair shows up. To my knowledge, I can't tell if that meeting ever happened up to now.

Regards,
Lieutenant Martin Bridge.

'Day chaps, ' was told this could be of interest for those who missed that event so I'm leaving a note here.

So I was loitering as usual along that bloody Holman Outpost lane. For hours but you know, I'm used to it. Oh well, I was slowly running out of beer and the neuralTV net was fading because of the ion storm to come, but hey, s#$~* happens, that's part of the life as a privateer. For now time is @$%# long out there, but maybe one day I'll get my hand on a nice shipment of kusarian holobands intended to the ?*?* sushi eaters waiting their time to suicide on Leeds on the Nagasaki. You know, movies with those fine &?#* ladies doing naughty st... whatever, I'm sure that you admiral don't care about that.

So I was along that lane, reading an unusual amount of distress beacons : Bragan, Woodrow, Tensdale... all from the Leeds system, when I received a call from one of yours, I think 't was that young Lieutenant flying a paladin. He was shouting stuffes like "John we needs backup here now !" and "they're closing in !" so I told him "what the $@#? are you talking about ?" and he just sent me this :

gun 1

Yes, you get it. 3 bloody kusarian battleships bombing Leeds, transponder KIS-Ein, Katashi and Zhong Kui. Yeah, I feel sorry guys, I think I must ' ve been asleep when they flew through the lane I was supposed to watch. But hey, if I intercepted them in Tau 31 you would never had your sport, right ?

So I said something like "Holy #%$ ! Don't wet your pants lad, I gonna kick their a... so hard they'll regret to ever have poped out their $*#?% mothers !" and set course to Leeds. I soon joined commander Jones' battlegroup channel, already counting DSS Mithras and Orpheus, that Dha Piruna mandalorian, HMS Docey and the Kent itself. Quite good pilots I must say, by the time I reached Leeds KIS-Ein was already down. I was told that the kusarian battalion leader ordered it to retreat but the commander didn't listen. Bloody kusarian. But retreat from what ?

At the end of the Edimburg lane I understood what it was about : those *#?% idiots did charge right into the Derby and Kent line ! But after all, they already challenged Leeds without any escort for their precious capital ships. So why they wouldn't do it %*# ?$*^ 'til the end ? Hell, the punition was as gigantic as their mistake, for all salary of their arrogance the Katashi received a good rain of snac, mortar, novas and anything that we could throw at them. It didn't last long before the second battleship turned to space dust :

gun 2

I must say, even that plasma and tachyon storm made sense, as SNAC shots were rather well synchronised. It seems that after all you train well your grunts, admiral.

The third one was a bit smarter than the two others and tried to run back, but too late. We shove a good shipment of novas right in the Zhong Kui's *#% so that the sheer amount of metal was enough to make it blow. The load itself gave a nice firework nonetheless.

gun 3

Ah ah ! Victory is mine - eeuh I mean, ours ! Nice work, hey ? Did you notice that a reporter was present ? With luck Sally will have nice pictures of me from the TV ! Bah you know, I like that chick but I hate when she call me the very moment I try to be stealth for a bit. So she keep spamming my mailbox, that *??%# lass never understands, and in the end I send her really scarse news because she's really *?#%. I like the quietness in Tau 31. When you BAFies aren't slaughtering each other with the KNF. But sorry admiral, ' think you don't really care, hu ?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that important KNF personel have been rescued during the loot phase. So that the MI6 can have it's own party.

Well, time 's for me now to get back my icefield. Oh wait no, I think it's time for booze and cheap girls. You should send some to your troops in MacDuff, they really need something to cheers up. It's really dull, boring and all there. For my part I'll have my good time in New London. Do you know the Frisky Betty ? It's a ?#%* of a place, if you have spare time join me there and I'll tell you the rest.

Buaarrharrhar, just kidding admiral ! Take care of you and your chaps, they did well today.

Evens out.

For the attention of John Evans:

Your report has been received and processed, thank you for your fine work in the field. However, if filing reports with the Defence Intelligence Staff in future, I would ask you to kindly keep your tone more respectable and present your information in a more... formal style. This is, after all, an official military communications channel and anyone using it, whether a BAF officer or not, is expected to comply with standard protocols when doing so, at risk of having their clearance revoked.

[Subject: Report on Naval forces activity near Tau 31 Jump gate ]

As I left the hangar bays of Derby, I was immediately informed from Lt Blair about my assistance needed at Tau jump gate. His ship was badly damaged and uncapable for combat.
Soon as I arrived our 2 heavly damaged battleships were strugling with one Kusari destroyer and 1 bomber, they were running in safety of stationary Kusari battleship there, so our capitals weren able to take that destroyer down.
I engaged him with Ensign Tommy Atkins, but we were failing to destroy it because heavy fire from stationary battleship.

Soon, Gaian GB showed up, and opened fire on me and Ens. Atkins, while we were strugling with destroyer and enemy bomber. But Ensign Tommy Atkins showed good skills in using nova torps on small vessels like gunboat, and with combined Supernova fire we took him down.
I got the final shot.
Guncam footage 01

Later Admiral Hobart arrived, and we engaged their bomber, as destroyer was running in Nagasaki safety.
After short fight, I landed nice Snac shot on his open hull and blasted him away.

Guncam footage 02

My bomber got destroyed later by Nagasaki razor, but my pod managed to leave that place fast enough.
I do not have information how did battle ended.

Westbrook out

It is with great regret that the Admiralty Board today confirms the death of Lieutenant Commander Sipher Rockwell, beleived to have been killed in action against hostile forces in Tau 23 some time ago, having been missing in action for several weeks. His remains were recovered by the Armed Forces earlier today and he will receive a funeral service with full military honours aboard the HMS Suffolk on Wednesday of this week. Collegues and close personal friends will be granted leave to attend. He has been posthumously awarded a Courageous Action Medal for bravery.

----COMM ID: Ensign Robert Woodrow----

Aghh, bad, very bad report today everyone... But anyway, i started off manning blockade with Lieutenant Commander Galt, nothing suspicious, when he spotted a KNF vessel in Dundee, which then came to Edinburgh. I headed to Edinburgh to have a look, but as i entered the system, the vessel's comm signiature'd completely disappear. Odd.

On the Way back to Leeds Lieutenant Bridge came on his Paladin and together, with Lieutenant Commander Galt, continued manning blockade. The same KNF vessel appearing in Edinburgh we went to investigate, chasing him to Tau-31, where after exchanging a few, ehm, words... The KNF vessel had left.

We then got reports of corsair activity in New London though they were only small ships, not much of a threat. We docked at Southampton when we got a distress signal from a Bretonian gunvoat of ours. Claiming he was attacked and destroyed by smugglers in Magellan. Then Lieutenant Commander Galt told me to get out a bomber as we thought it'd be a transport. But it was actually a light fighter, possibly an escort i don't know, bearing cartel colours.

The Cartel was placed under arrest by Lieutenant Bridge who engaged. Moments later the cartel called for backup, 2 sabres forcing Galt and I to engage. Alexander Lawrence, an armed forces applicant i think, engaged the fighters. Lieutenant Commander Galt's ship was the first casualty, and along came the Albion, i think it's called, a gunboat, and it engaged the hostiles, though soon being destroyed minutes later by constant fighter fire.

It was a hard fight from then on, Lawrence's ship was the next to go as it was being fired on by all 3 ships, the next was Bridge, also being shot at by all 3 of them. That left me to finish them off. Which sadly, for most people is next to impossible, inlcuding me, haha, anyway, it really did take them a while, but in the end my bomber was destroyed. A shame, next time my templar will be waiting to blow the smug smiles off their faces.

Ensign Woodrow out.
