Patrolling Manchester, I came upon a hacker in a pirate transport just blowing up a Bowex ship. El Diablo Rojo, he called himself. And a Rogue in a fighter standing guard.
Without much further ado, we engaged. Lt Lee Adama came up, and held off the Rogue, while I finished off the Transport. The Rogue ran for it soon after.

Greetings officer,

I'm leaving a note here about some possibly interesting shift in the Colonial Remnant / Kusarian diplomacy. I was contacted tonight by a regular CR pilot, informing briefly me about a near official alliance revoke between the two empires. Furthermore they were about to attack the Kyushu system along with an outcast force. I had to cut the communication short though because of a corsair matter, and unfortunately I forgot to log the conversation.

I first put low trust in such affirmations, especially from an official ennemy, however I estimated such an intel worthy of double check. So later on I took the initiative, alone, to take ensign Keevan with me in a scouting mission directly in the Kyushu system. It seems, by the time we entered the system, the supposed battle was almost over, but we nevertheless caught a confirmed kill between a KNF and a CR fighter. Besides this, we could barely gather more intels as we strictly followed the stealth procedure as described in our tactical codex.

I remember some privateers were planing to raid Kyushu earlier in the day, perhaps will they provide you with more precise data about this event.

Regards,
Lieutenant Martin Bridge.

February 14th, 818AS

The day started out rather quietly, manning the Leeds defensive post. A trader flashing the Zoner IFF under the identificator "System-F" came through, hauling Alien Organisms. His declared destination was Planet Harris. I was ordered by my superior officer to escort him there.

Tau-31 was empty and quiet, both of us made it to Harris safely.

Attachment #1, Escort mission to Planet Harris

I stayed on the Derby until late in the evening for another shift enforcing the embargo. A few minutes after I undocked, I noticed something highly disturbing.

Attachment #2

Initially, I thought my Neural computer erroneously displayed the wrong ship type, so I performed a surface scan by pointing my scanner array directly at the foreign object. According to the shield battery capacity, the layout of guns on the ship itself and the distinctive shape led me to conclude that this was a B-1290 "Templar" Very Heavy Fighter. There are two troubling elements.

1) The ship has a Freelancer ID, whereas no battleships in Bretonia dispenses those.
2) The computer system displayed the pilot's name as "Austin.Goodmen"

Alarmed by this, I proceeded to dock with the Derby again and requested an inventory of all fighters onboard. Indeed, there is exactly one B-1290 that remains unaccounted for.

As I was preparing to return to the Suffolk, my home fleet, several BAF elements were already at the pursuit of Goodmen. They could not catch up and his whereabouts are currently unknown. He may or may not have an accomplice.

I don't know what to make of this. I know things have been hectic, but for him to actually go- **ERROR 2205- UNEXPECTED END OF ARCHIVE**

HIGH PRIORITY

Commander Austin Goodmen is to report to Admiralty Headquaters on New London within the next 24 hours in order to answer allegations of misconduct before the Admiralty Board. Failure to report within the time stated will be treated as intention to desert. Should any other officers encourter Commander Goodmen on duty, they are to escort him to New London immediately.

Sirs,

I was able to contact Austin Goodmen today, it appears he is hiding in New Berlin. Based on the conversation, it is safe to say he will not be returning to Bretonia.

Conversation Log

I contacted a member of the [RM], but the pilot was too low in rank to take any action against a foreigner. However, she advised me that the Rhienland government could extradite Goodmen if we contacted the high command. It should be noted, however, that Goodmen could be in another house by now.

Signed,

Commodore Blake Owen

ANNOUNCEMENT TO COMBINED FLEETS

Following his failure to report to duty, it is my deep regret to inform the combined fleets that Austin Goodmen, former Commander of the Suffolk Fleet, is considered to have wilfully deserted his post in a time of war and has consequently been stripped of his rank and medals by the Bretonian Armed Forces. I need not remind other serving officers that this constitutes a severe military offense, and that aiding another officer to desert also constitues a military offense. As such, anyone in contact with Mr Goodmen is to report all information regarding his whereabouts to the Admiralty Board immediately. Anyone found failing to do so will have to explain themselves to me personally and risks demotion. Anyone who encounters Mr Goodmen in space is to apprehend him immediately, as he is wanted by the Crown on charges of Desertion, Mutiny, Dereliction of Duty, Theft of Military Hardware, Contravening standing orders, Prize offences, Obstruction to the Keeping of the Peace and Disregard of Lawful Authority. All officers and other agents of the Crown are hereby authorised to use reasonable force in order to apprehend him. His clearance to access this or any other military comm channels are to be withdrawn immediately. All deck officers are also informed that his security clearance to dock with any Bretonian Armed Forces or Bretonian Police base are is hereby revoked, and that upon landing on any other facility under the control of the Bretonian Crown he is to be immediately arrested.

It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement, having served in space alongside Commander Goodmen on many on occasion myself and knowing him to have many times proved to be an excellent pilot. However, be in no mistake that his actions in deserting his post during a time of great national danger represent nothing less than a deep betrayal of Bretonia and the Crown. Had he truly beleived he was innocent of the charges fairly laid against him, he would have faced trial and aquitted himself with honour. To flee in this manner, stealing military hardware in the process, reflects nothing but cowerdice and disrespect for the great nation which he swore an oath to serve and protect. I know many of you may be tempted to sympathise with his situation and even to aid him in his efforts to avoid facing up to his responsibilities as an officer, but I wish to remind every officer serving here that your duty to Bretonia, to our Queen and country and to protect the people of Bretonia everywhere from those who would oppress them, must come before your personal loyalty to an individual who, however admirable his other traits may be, has nonetheless betrayed us all deeply through his cowardly and dishonourable actions.

I pray only that he may come to his senses and spare himself the indignity of further dishonour.

For the Board of the Admiralty,

Sir Stanley Nelson
Fleet Admiral
Bretonian Armed Forces

Today I encountered an outcast by the name of Capt. Toto an outcast who was caught in an act of piracy. I managed to move him off but he ended up in new London so I chased him off. Telling him that he faced a fine which he did pay and then I managed to convince him to go to kusari or omicrons to hunt cosiars. gun camera image:http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/4649/screen3ag.png
Also regarding Austin goodmen I have asked my Rheinland federal police contact to keep an eye out for him in which he gladly accepted.

[Subject: Duty Report]

Dear officers,

today on our blockade enforcement Lt. Adama and I stumbled over a ship named "pop8887" which is odd enough for itself but the ship didn't have an ID and it didn't stop on our orders to do so. Therefor we stopped him hard by disrupting the tradelane, had a chat with him, when he suddenly turned around and fled to Stokes Mining Station; docked there. He was tagged "Police".
When he came out eventually, Lt. Adama and me chased him some distance before we stopped him finally. He claimed to be speaking some ancient language called "russian" and we should talk to him in this language. Eventually we brought to him, that he should drop 200 Ship Hull Panels instead of paying 2,000,000$ (1m for disobeying orders, 1m for docking at Kusari stations) since he claimed to have no 2 million credits.
After he noticed we couldn't pick it up all, he tried to transfer it back onto his ship after what I chased him again and made him drop it off again.

Here the communications log and belonging cam-shots.

Good day, officers.
Today I was patrolling Leeds system. On a half path to Stokes I detected a Kusari ship. He was posing an aggressive stance towards us. I offered him to leave this place, he refused. His fury was out of bounds, and soon enough, the battle has begun. By the end, he suffered a great damage and his hull was decompressing. A shot from my Razor has put an end to his ardency.

That is all.

Lieutenant Alster over and out.
