Oi...

Well, I have one thing of note to report on from this past night patrol. We had to respond to a wing of "Indian" vessels, who were antagonizing miners in Dublin. I had the support of an Ensign, a Gunboat, and the HMS-Vesper, a secondary-fleet destroyer.

The Ensign and Gunboat (HMS-New_London) interdicted them, stalling them while I got into position. I had the Vesper hold out of scanner range. At that point, Commodore Bridge came on the scene. However, he allowed me to continue giving orders, for some reason. Seeing as I had little choice, and I wasnt willing to risk anyone's lives, I had the Vesper come into their scanner range, and gave them an ultimatum - Leave, or die. My scare tactics worked, and they left without firing a single shot.

Effective Immediately,

All Armed Forces vessels are not to engage in combat against the Joker and his thugs. However, make sure the lad isn't pirating or happily blowing up Bretonian transports. If anyone catches him doing so, act like you normally would. Also, do not hesitate to hail the Joker or his thugs if he's nearby and you require assistance. I know many of you will not enjoy this one bit, but we need all the help we can, and I sure as hell know I don't want to sit in the middle of a three way fight.

Signed,

Vice Admiral Roger Hans

After reading the new orders to do with the Joker and the mollys, I undocked my bomber from the Essex and did a standard sweep of Dublin. While on patrol, I came across one of the Joker's thugs, who I had a short chat with, before hearing that a molly was involved in piracy in one of the asteroid fields. The molly turned out to be in the process of pirating a BMM miner, so I moved in and he attacked me. With all the intelligence of the sort of molly whose brain shuts down whenever it hears any word as long as, say, Armistice, he decided to headbutt one of my nova torpedos. Since his shields were down at the time, the fight was over rather swiftly. Soon afterwards, I was joined by the 13th|Jerusalem, a Dunkirk class battleship. A few minutes later, another molly arrived, intent on avenging his friend. Despite one of the local miners requesting that I order the Jerusalem to destroy the molly's Barghest because it would be, as I quote, "so funny", I decided that wasting that sort of firepower on a lone Barghest would be unsporting, and I took him on myself. This fight ended when I introduced my SNAC to his hull. The miner who I mentioned earlier, going by the callsign of "Miller" then began asking me how I felt about the Order, and claiming that he was ex-Order personnel and that several rumors and myths were real. However, he did give me 1 million credits for taking down the pirates, which I transferred to the War fund. I was then called to Leeds by the thug I had met earlier, due to a corsair osiris having found its way in. However, before I found the Osiris, I found a Kusari battleship sitting by Leeds with a couple of escorts, and the Jerusalem preparing to open fire on it. I moved in to assist, along with the other BAF| on duty and someone who I didn't get a chance to scan assisting us. Things started badly. The Jerusalem was taken out of action and to make matters worse, the corsair osiris showed up and started helping the Kusarian. However, a molly gunboat and the Joker thug in a tridente came to our aid, and we managed to destroy the Kusari battleship, losing Someone D'White in the process, then took down the Osiris with no further loss. The Kusarian escorts fled when the battleship went down, I believe, since I didn't see them anywhere after the destruction of the Osiris.

As of around 22:30, we got reports of an incoming Kusari force. It took cover at the Stokes station, seeing the Kusari battleship [KNF]IKN-Edo was surely outnumbered. We had several fighters, the battleship 13th|-The.Jerusalem and myself and Commodore Jack Frost each flying a bomber at hands.
Apparently they called for assistance, and soon after further Kusari forces arrived, as well as quite a bunch of Sails Corsairs. It seems they're allying. After friendly talks, the engagement errupted at around 23:00. Sadly, Commodore Frost was hit by a lucky shot of the [KNF]IKN-Edo and he had to eject; to my knowledge, he passed the incident uninjured. 13th|-The.Jerusalem was hit by the Edo in the energy core or something, it blew up quite nasty. I have no idea whether any of the crew or the captain itself survived it. It looked bad.
However, the Edo came not out of this fight undamaged, and began to retreat. Even though taking down a battleship with a lone bomber is quite a challenge, I was doing my best, and it retreated farer from the fight. Espi|Sails came repeatedly to its assistance, which made it impossible for me to keep down the shields of the battleship, so I had to retreat.
Somewhen during the previous mentioned events, the BAF|HMS-Invictus, under the command of Vice-Admiral Roger Hans, launched, as well as a repair ship called [RS-A03]-Halo's.Shine. Especially the repair ship proved very useful later on.
Leonardo.Ramirez brought further support, and with that we could hold the line at least.
Somehow, The Joker got noticed of this battle. He showed up, and that finally tipped the balance into our favour. He took out several Sails, but due to some communication trouble, probably the result from the huge amount of plasma and other things zapping around as well as the occupied attention of both, the repair ship and the Joker, it was not possible to assist the Joker with further nanobots, and he had to eject. Still, we were now getting the upper hand, especially with the help of the Derby, and the enemy retreated at around 0:00 after some further attempts to breach our lines.

The aftermath of the fight showed, that the usage of the repair ship proved to be essential to our success. The Invictus, as I was told, would've been destroyed four or five times, if it weren't for the support of the repair ship. Our other fighters experienced the same benefit. Essentially: The repair ship is a major success!
It seems, though, that it could use some capital armor upgrades. It was not possible for the repair ship to enter the fighting scene very much, because it probably would've been ripped apart by the enemy forces while giving support to ours. It seems, too, that this was one of the reasons which prevented it from helping the Joker, who got, as I then found out, only shot by the way too lucky enemy battleship.
This leads me to my next point: We had definitely too few bombers. It could've been that we took Edo out of action if Commodore Frost wouldn't have had that kind of bad-luck (or the Edo not that kind of luck), and if the captain of the 13th|-The.Jerusalem would've received more training in massive fight situations like this. But having more bombers at hands would've been definitely the better way to go.

I also got noticed that we are short on capable bomber pilots. I'm offering my experience in attacking capital ships with a bomber for possible training sessions. We need, though, a capital ship to train on.

In general, I have to say, we need more training, but not only that, we need especially more training equipment, like more agile fighters than ours, more agile bombers than ours, and capital ships, all in the role of our targets. I suggest, for improved effectiveness, regular training sessions.

This is Lieutenant A. Keevan, signing off.

Sirs,
Indeed, i managed to eject safely from that lucky shot that crippled my Challenger and am safely back on board the Stirling.
During the "friendly" talks the daft Kusari lads actually admitted that they where openly allied to the Sails !
This, i feel, opens the Kusarians up for a hell of a lot of flack. May i recomend that this info be passed to MI5 and they may be able, through thier devious methods, to cause some mayhem in the 'sair ranks.
It seems that the Kusari are losing more men than we thought if they have to resort to allying with criminal canibals to fight thier wars!!

Later in the afternoon, there was a limited scramble alert issued for the Battleship Essex' fighter wings. The motive for the scramble were hazy. As such, I took it upon myself to assess the situation on my own. Out in space, a special operative of the Armed Forces was headed somewhere; he initially declined my assistance.

Shortly afterwards, I received a header from that same operative, a situation regarding "terrorist forces" attacking an ally of the United Kingdom. I engaged cruise flight and made haste.

On-site, a Mandalorian fighter was being engaged by two fighter-class ships, appearing to be affiliated with "The Order". Regardless, I quickly came to the aid of the Mandalorian pilot. As the fight shifted to the fields outside Graves Station, I managed to pick off one of the terrorist assets, assisted by the Special Operative. However, I had to retreat to the Essex, my ship computers were malfunctioning.

Once that was taken care of, I resumed my combat sortie. Essex Long Range Scanners somehow detected a Kusari battleship in Dublin space, the "Ein". It quickly jumped back to Leeds. After gathering local combat assets to fight the threat in Leeds, the battleship promptly retreated, avoiding a confrontation.

No other instances to report. God Save the Queen.

[color=#FFFFFF]Report for 31/07/818A.S.

Such a long day.

First, I was called to Dublin to locate and possibly destroy several Natures Last Hope ships that had been reported in the area. I moved to the system with several other ships and we spread out to locate the Gaians.

I located one passing the Hood, and it immediately headed up. I followed with several other ships, and success followed as the one Gaian led to two others. There were two Claymores, both with reduced supplies of regeneration units, and one Black Dragon with reduced regeneration unit supplies. The pilot of this fighter was a Kusarian.

After a lengthy conversation with the Gaians, which had split into two groups (one Claymore and several Armed Forces ships and one Claymore and the Black Dragon with several Armed Forces ships). Then a broken AI-controlled gunboat saw the lone Gaian gunboat and tried to destroy it, with every other Armed Forces ship ordering it to stand down. I’ve had problems with these AIs before and would be the first to call for their termination. However, the gunboat was destroyed, even though it had a full supply of regeneration units to start with. A faulty AI that’s also a poor fighter. Not exactly the best work of our scientists.

After this, the Gaians agreed to be escorted to Newgate and be detained. We jumped to Leeds via the jump hole, but then I don’t know what happened. One side opened fire first, I would guess the Gaians, but then it all descended into chaos. But both gunboats were destroyed, and the fighter was pursued by Agent Ross with the intent of capturing the pilot for interrogation. I returned to the Derby to restock my Challenger.

A few hours later I undocked again and found a mass of BAF ships outside of Leeds, and a Kusari fleet just detectable. After a long wait, the Kusarians tried to move past us and we moved in and engaged. But now, the biggest blunder ever. Our pilots had all of that time to see the Kusarians were using capital ships and get their bombers. And yet, I was the only one in a Challenger! The Kusarians realised this and I was immediately targeted by most ships for the duration. That is, until my Challenger was destroyed.

After this I moved to Dublin in a different Challenger to meet up with several others to deal with three Corsair gunboats that were close to the Essex. I arrived and there was already a Challenger and a Templar there. Two more Challengers arrived in the next ten minutes, and we then moved in on the under-supplied gunboats (seemed yesterday was “don’t-bring-enough-regens” day). I unfortunately was targeted immediately. Big surprise. However, in instants the first gunboat was down. A minute later, the second was down. Then the third went down.

After this, Lieutenants Michael and John Clay and I went on a patrol of Bretonia. We moved through New London, Manchester, New London again and Cambridge with no incidents.
