Good Day Ladies and Gents
Martin.Beck reporting,
The HMS-Fortitude was moored at southampton shipyard undergoing a crucial teapot replacement operation and general maintenance when we received an urgent distress signal from Captain Sir George Hall.
He was aboard the HMS-Aegis and informed me of a large royal navy gathering in leeds. We had to cancel the teapot operation and set course to the leeds system.
We arrived at the specificed destination where we were joined by Captain Kaze Dagon, Commander Yberg and Lt flameheart. we then proceeded to planet leeds where a battalion of royal navy fighters and a obstinate class battlecruiser were awaiting us.
we were then joined by a wing of gaian fighters who presumably came to assist.
Captain Hall instructed me to stand down as he felt confident that the HMS-Aegis would dispatch the enemy battlecruiser alone and set about dismantling it one piece at a time.
As this was underway a gallic cruiser arrived and procceded attacking our troops, This was the time for the fortitude to enter the frey. The gallic battlecruiser was destroyed shortly after the gallic cruiser's navigation systems malfunctioned and it headed to planet leeds atmosphere where it burned up.
a bretonian gunboat HMS-Gossamer arrived to assist our fighter wing at this time as our fighters were having much difficulty dealing with the royal navy's lynxs
The Aegis was badly damaged when a royal navy battleship arrived at the scene, It was engaged and destroyed by the Aegis and Fortitude.
at this point another battleship arrived via the stokes lane, its armament wasn't adequate to combat the Aegis or Fortitude and it was destroyed shortly after. The gaian fighter wing left the area for unknown reasons.
At this point we had thought that was the end of the battle when 2 more valor class battleships arrived at planet leeds, seems they had more reinforcement than anticipated. we assumed defensive positions even though the aegis was barely holding together. we were joined by a SIS gunboat, unfortuantly it was swarmed by fighters and destroyed quickly.
when the royal navy fighters decimated our remaining fighters and destroyed HMS-Gossamer. a call for regroup was issued at Birmingham station in Manchester, the fortitude and aegis made it out of leeds where a plan for counterattack was initiated.
counterattack was going to be swift and deadly. After the aegis was repaired and refueld we headed back to leeds where one of the two valors had stayed behind to defend the position, it was swiftly taken down by the fortitude.
There were a lot of casuaties on both sides but i would sum up this prolonged engagement as a victory for the queen and country.
