Mm..Silvan is gone? Considered a traitor? Gee, that sounds familiar. But for the sake of not muddling up the waters I'll keep the I-told-you-so's to myself.

Months ago I grew weary of constantly having to argue back and forth with Silvan and other delegates on how to run the Zoner people. Then that..incident with the Joker character finally convinced me that it was time to get out of dodge. Take everyone off of Freeport 1 who wanted to come and head for the most remote part of space we could find.

So obviously I couldn't tell anyone where we were going or that we were even leaving. The idea was to vanish, literally, in hopes that the poopstorm would blow over and we wouldn't get blow'd up by some crazy crazy's flunkie.

That said, I'm also completely out of touch with everything that's gone on during that time. Therefore, and also because I don't want the job, I request that I not be considered for the chairmanship, despite having campaigned for that position in the past.

I only hope that there's a candidate to be found that's capable of making good, thoughtful, neutral decisions on behalf of the Zoners. Truthfully, I would most like to see all of the most recently formed Zoner subfactions dissolved and their members reintegrated with the council, so that we once again have one central governing body.

I don't really even care who leads it as long as they fit the above qualities.

It's not easy watching your friends get abandoned on the battlefield. Yev felt like he should say something but could not come up with the right words. The great Zoner Council of the old which had been responsible for so much of his people's prosperity was dead. Really, how did one answer to a thing like that?

He had always hoped that the Council would rebuild itself and represent the unaffiliated members of his community. Ironfoot would no doubt lead them well. But with the chambers, and the forums, and the chatrooms being emptier than StarCraft XVI's battlenet servers, who was there left to lead?

Firstly, I want to thank Mr.Watson for allowing me back into the club.

Secondly, I'm going to go straight to business. Those of you who attended the Security Meeting know what I'm about to say. For those that don't, here is a motion that is currently being decided by Zoners everywhere:

Firstly I would like to welcome back Mr. Lightwing back to this Council, I know he shares a deep wish, like myself to see all Zoners united again in one inclusive body.

I have been at this security conference and despite a few early reservations over control and funding I second that we all vote on this proposal quickly as we all benefit from having a secure Sirius to trade and travel in, the recent desctruction the Joker and his thugs have reaped upon us show us this clearly and who knows when the Nomads/Keepers will attemp a new offensive on our borders.

We have much to gain from this show of strength and with the proper controls in place regarding funding and scrutiny via the COC I say YES to this proposal, acting chairman Watson can you set a deadline for this vote?

Once this vote has been taken I would like to re-propose the election of the permanent chair of the council so that we can work on finally mending this rift with the ZA and start taking an active part in Zoner governance again.

My fellow Zoners,

Over the past few weeks there has been much turmoil and many harsh words spoken in this Council, there has been division and recently a spy uncovered at the top of the Council leading to this power vaccum we are in at present.

Galen Watson has valiantly stepped in as a temporary replacement for our disloyal former chairwoman who has fled back to her own people leaving a trail of disunity amongst the Zoner nation, but he knows that to replace a dictator with a non-voted chair is undemocratic and so he has asked for people to come forward for the position to allow new elections to commence.

I have been pondering this in recent days, waiting to see who would stand, however none have come forward in public and so I wish to formally put my name to the Council of Zoners as wishing to stand for election as the new Chairman.

I also invite anyone else to stand up and join me and make this a true election contest, I also want to see the groups that left and all Zoners not in the Council to apply for Council membership as I want whoever wins this vote to be elected by the majority of members not just a select few or even imposed on us.

My goal if elected will be to simplify the Voting structures and role of this council so that members can get back to doing what they do best which is being a Zoner and making money and my first job if elected would be to have a debate on this role, what the Council does and should do and how to delegate responsibility down the chain so that one person is not soley responsible for the decisions of the council.

I will take on-board the views of the groupings but also I am an Independant Zoner so I will also listen to the voice of the single Zoner trader.

I urge everyone to participate for the good of the Zoner nation, and I suggest that we have a list of candidates by this time next week ready for a decision 1 week later, please second my nomination.
