Given the recent developments in council, I'm going to agree with Jinx here. Momma Dis would be the logical choice. My vote goes for Discordia.

Regarding the troubles in Theta; of course we should render support to protect fellow Zoners, but I highly doubt that we'd be called. The AW seem steadfast in their desire to take care of "their" own business, and that outside help from other Zoners was not expected. I was told this over secure comms yesterday following my encounter with Harvester 15, with Vic. I didn't take this as a negative stance, but perhaps a cautious one? The line here is razor thin, and I don't think that anyone really wants a full blown war in Theta. However, as Vic said, direct aggression against any Freeport would be reason enough to lend more than moral support. We are obliged to insure the survival of our peoples.

The encounter with Harvester 15 was indeed surprising. I had expected a tougher battle going in and I think Vic did too. Given their stance and aggression toward all Zoners, would it not be wise to consider taking steps to actively address these befuddled machines more directly? They represent a clear and present danger against the Zoner community as well as others.

Quote:It seems that there have been a few brother zoners that have been transporting slaves thru Omicron-100 and Omicron Minor. They wish for me to inform the council that they will order all slave traders to drop their cargo and if the ship does not immediately comply they will use force to free the slaves.

I would just like to point out that I am completely opposed to the slave trade and I will personally shoot them myself if I ever catch anyone carrying them. I will not support or allow the slave trade to continue in any form.

As for the AW issue, I helped them against the harvesters in Omega 15 and Omega 41 last night, and will continue to engage and destroy Harvester units wherever I encounter them. I will not assist them against the Corsairs at this time, however.

I would also like to move for a motion against all Junkers concerning their usage of Freeports, until such time as they cease their support of these rogue and clearly malfunctioning machines. I therefore suggest that we be more insistent in our requests and prevent Junkers from using our collective Freeport network until they see fit to rein in their apparent Harvester allies. I have been fired upon by actual Junkers assisting a Harvester in Colorado while enroute to Ames Research Station in Kepler. I, personally, will not tolerate such flagrant acts of violence and disrespect towards Zoners from the Junkers, and feel appropriate measures need to be taken.

One way or another, I think we need to take a stand against these machines and show them, as was aptly pointed out by our friend Vic Chonody, that we are not toothless dogs.

Captain Banks out.

Oi...as much as you lot tend to bicker about squat, we need this council.

My vote goes to Mamma Dis without a secont thought.

& on another note: the best way to truly become a 'toothless dog' is to waste time tring to prove that you're not.

Bite when bitten, never underestimate the enemy, never overestimate yourself, & at the end of the day, posturing can lead to your deaths.

You lot can kill for pride & glory, & I'll kill for survival; & I'll do my best to say something nice at your wakes.

*Mal, you b*st*rd!*

*Sigh.... well I guess it would prove to old "Fart Giver" that we Fnordettes are more than just pretty globes..*

*I hereby accept the nomination, and will serve if elected.*

*Oh, and Riley, how'd ya get so smart for a primate? Actively hunting the Harvesters proves us no smarter or "evolved" than they are. I would agree we should keep our choppers in our pockets unless needed.. but Mal is still the Dillygate for the TAZ.. I'm just a silly "girl".*

*But, if needed, BITE we WILL!*

Mama Dis

Well, I also nominate Mama Dis. If Tate (I'd love to meet you, would be interesting, what with our polar-opposite luck) cannot serve in an active fashion, nor does she want to, I see no other alternative.

Besides, a stab at the Harvesters is OK in my books.

*Well, spank my lower hemisphere raw! Maybe ol' FTGW ain't such a blockhead after all!

*It appears we have an "opening", Delegates. I'm gonna just sit in this Chair and take your comments.. I'd wait for a final tally, but this is just too good to wait on.

*Should we take FTGW's offer, and send some "parts" to interface? Maybe noodle out just what the duffer needs?

*Give ol' Dis your best shot*
Parts? Sounds interesting. I'm always up for a little jaunt over to the edge of Nomad space, I wouldn't mind carrying these 'parts', whatever they happen to be.

~ Vic Chonody
I wouldn't mind assisting as well.

I'd be willing to offer fighter escort for this operation.

As for the matter of voting, if Madam Tate is no longer running, I'll switch my vote over to F23 Discordia.

The endless search for a seat warmer. Mind you, Madam Tate i had high hopes for.
Some things can't be helped, F-23 Discordia seems to be a equally competent cabbage.
Oh i love this song. What was I talking about? Right, Fill the highball glass with ice cubes.
Stir in tomato, lemon juice and vodka. Add spices and a coarse grind fresh black pepper and stir.
Garnish with a wedge of lime twisted onto the salted rim of the highball glass.
Put in a celery stalk, complete with leaves as a stirrer.
