Had a rather odd.....visitor today. A Molly IFF with a Lane Hacker ID. He struck up conversation with the crew of the Vor'tcha but was more intent on blasting Corsairs. He had his fun and headed off. It's been otherwise quiet which has been nice.

Greetings Sisters and Brothers Zoners,

can anyone explain what agreement we have with the SCRA?

I only know, that when Sitting Bear enter Omega 49 system and I said him if we can help him, he answered in a not very fair form. Then arrived Commander Thorvaldsson (sorry if I type wrong the name), saying that they have an agreement with the council (one that block enter in their space to nearly all the zoners) and that he destroy my companion and me without a second though.

I make agreements with Corsairs, Outcasts, Blood Dragons, Kusarians and others (only for my faction, obligations and rights). But never one that obligated another zoner faction to follow it or use zoners bases or anothers rights.

The next time that any of ours make an agreement with them, please include a clause that obligated them to read more Bakunin, Kropotkin, Proudhon, Malatesta or Spooner, or at least Trosky, Andreu Nin... and less Stalin, Mao and similars.

Thanks

Madam Chairglobe, Delegates,

Well, it appears that our bucolic peace has been once again been disturbed. I have had private comms from the selfsame Commander Thorvaldssen regarding some apparently new restrictions on radioactive materials through SCRA space. (Omega-52 is indeed SCRA, and not Zoner space, Delegates.) I've located an old copy of the Coalition's System Restrictions, but I suggest you might enquire of the Office for current updates.

The Commander also mentioned your lads, Brother Mannock. Apparently there have been some rude comments and threats issued by both sides in these most recent incidents with SCRA. Is there a possibility that there was mutual chest-thumping involved, sir?

The Council as a whole has no agreement with the Coalition regarding trade through O-52, Brother Mannock. As I have suggested before, these matters are best handled on a one-to-one basis. At present, Commander Thorvaldssen wishes me to warn this Council and all registered Zoners that if they do in fact enter O-52 without prior "agreements", that they do so at their own peril.

I cautioned Commander Thorvaldssen that this Council might require more testimony and evidence, but he seems to have an aversion to public "appearances" and asked me to convey the warning. I have sent an encrypted Council Comms link to Cape Verde in the event a representative of SCRA wishes to address the Council further.

Now, I think it might also be prudent to remind the SCRA that their Garrison on Gran Canaria is here at the behest and courtesy of this Council, and that one hand "washes" the other. A bit more courtesy on the part of SCRA vessels docking at their Garrison's field would certainly be appreciated.

If Admiral McIntosh is indeed curtailing our economy for whatever unknown reason, then the least he and his Fleet could do is be polite while doing so, eh?

Delegate Mannock, do your pilots require lessons in etiquette as well?

First I must apologize for offer my help to Sitting Bear; second, another apologize to Commander Thorvaldsson for ask him a best behaviour of Sitting Bear; third, for every time that one of WDR need to pass for Omega 52 request permission to enter (and never granted); fourth, because I used yesterday a weapon (the only weapon that I use in Sirius) words that he didnt undernstood or fight; fith, for never transport Plutonium through their space and give them a reason to destroy us; sixth, for be, political, more near to Bakunin that Stalin.

Dear Malaclypse, we dont want that ours actions have repercussions with your agreement with them. We offer help to all (first ours allies, second friends and third every person, no faction or group), for us all people have the same value (including those that attack or offend us). We only want that if any enter in the home of zoners, he or they respect us.

And, why they have a garrison in Gran Canaria... the next a Corsair garrison.

Earlier today a while performing an inspection of the stations exterior a individual named Rocket_Mouse pointed out some faults with the supporting arms for the stations biodomes. The Arm supporting the Biodome on the side of the star has broken free and would only take a tap to send it flying into open space. The other arms are in better shape and reasonably stable but but the workmanship is of a low standard and may lead to problems in the near future.

Here are some images of the Arms.

I am no expert in station engineering so I am not sure who to contact to get these issues addressed, but I believe something needs to be done soon particularly with regard to the sun side arm.

That is all.

The holographic view showed the Episkopos floating weightless, zazen, with the triangles of a rough-hewn timber dodecahedron in the background. Small blue fish-iike organisms "swam" in and out of the hologram, sometimes chased by a small, rocketing dog of questionable descent.

Malaclypse paused before answering, his gaze drifting into the distance, as if reminiscing about long-past events...

Well, Mannock, that goes back... almost a decade now.. from the days when the TAZ were known as [~V~], the "Veranda Incognita Gang", and based our operations from the Veranda.

Back then, Admiral McIntosh was a regular visitor to Reggie's little plantation, and the SCRA's agenda was not so "strident" in nature, shall we say. The Zoner population was not so large, and was struggling against another group of malcontents, led by a gent named "Wolfpack". At the time, it was in our interests to mutually exist with the Coalition. They had not taken possession of Cape Verde at that time, either, and were "homeless" in a sense. It only made sense for them to build their Garrison here..

A few years later, I discovered the "Goddess Geode", and the Bafflin' scrubbies.. (he waved his hand to include the small "swimming" fish), and the ancient works of Hakim Bey, and we took possession of Baffin, declaring it a Temporary Autonomous Zone. McIntosh and I drifted apart, both in friendship, and in philosophy.

Mal paused, and frowned. He snapped his fingers, and Fnordie came to his call, floating by his side, happily panting. The pause lengthened, and Mal cocked his head to the side, as if listening to the pooch. Not a word was spoken.

However, I must confess that the SCRA's recent hostile stance, and the lack of communication from McIntosh troubles me greatly. It seems that the Coalition's neutrality toward the TAZ is only a nod to that past friendship; and one which places us at odds to this Council's agenda in some ways.

Therefore, sadly, I would not object to, nor be surprised by, a motion to revoke the SCRA's "lease" on their Canaria Garrison. It no longer serves the purpose it did, for either group.

I will not make that motion myself, due to my past indebtedness to Mac and his lads; but I will not object to it either. I leave that for the Council to deliberate.

I will however notify McIntosh that the TAZ no longer wish to be set apart from our Zoner brethren by being shown special consideration in Omega 52. If Zoners in general are to be mistrusted, dictated to, and generally maligned as supporting the Coalition's enemies.. then we will all be hung with the same rope.

Mal's chest heaved with a great sigh, and a tinge of emotion could be detected as he spoke again.

I hope that explains things a bit, Brother Mannock. I sympathize with your losses, and your treatment at the hands of the Coalition. I have avoided the obvious too long. Eris teaches us that those who try to impose Order on others only serve to cause more Chaos. Whether that Order is imposed financially, militarily, or by the antiquated rhetoric of long-dead Socialist "prophets", the result is the same. It is foolish to cling to some "status quo" from the past. Doing so will bite you in the ass every time. I await the Council's deliberations.

Mal sighed deeply again, and rubbed his face roughly. The pooch floating next to him placed a small paw on his shoulder and gently licked his face as the holographic image winked out.

Zoners, and Malaclypse. Due to the increase of the supposedly 'Neutral' Zoners funding the treacherous Alliance, the Corsairs, and anyone else who will take your shoddy wares, the Coalition shall no longer recognize your neutrality, nor shall we spare any warships we encounter. Cross our borders, and space will fill with your blood like a waterfall running into an ocean.

The Coalition shall evacuate Gran Canaria by our own means withing the next eight hours. I certainly hope you won't attempt to interfere...

Also, Malaclypse, I you come to your senses soon, and see what your bretheren have drawn you into. It's too late for them but there will always be a place for you and your men in the SCRA.

For the Coalition! McIntosh out.

It seems there is a problem in Gran Canaria with the SCRA, and it is a big problem.

I don't know why the SCRA maintain a garrison in Omega 49, if they own a system to garrison, and they defend it quite strongly against anyone who passes through there, including zoners.

The SCRA members are hostile to any zoner (except TAZ maybe) which passes through Omega 52, i understand than, if they want to maintain a garrison in Gran Canaria, zoners must get a profit of it. If SCRA could allow zoners to pass through Omega 52, it would be enough for Wanderers, we are not a threat for them, and i understand this is quite reasonable.

If they refuse to accept this deal, and just want to maintain a garrison for nothing, the Wanderers Brotherhood understand than this is not fair for the zoners and request the inmediate evacuation of the settlement.

One more thing, it's impossible for a zoner trader to avoid to trade with SCRA enemies, cause they are hostile to almost all sirius factions.

to: the council

"judging from my experience with the SCRA - they appear to be similar to any other die hard military focussed society. - but like many of them, they believe in a code of warfare. - so they would not dare to attack civilian trade vessels unless they pass through their sanctum - which is omega-52. it is easy to avoid omega-52 by travelling through the vast space of omega-47.

even since our captain, mr Richard Bach, encountered .... rudeness from the SCRA HQ, he decided to alter his route from Honshu to Lancarote so he would not travel through omega-52 anymore. log statistics show that the slightly altered route does not take much longer, nor does it require more fuel, cause most of the journey through 47 can be travelled with engines shut down, floating.

the code of the SCRA forbids them to attack any tradevessel outside of 52 and so our trade is not endangered - they only weaken themselves by denying better neighbourhoodship with us.

from the economic point of view, we have not lost anything - but it indeed is sad that one of our neighbours contradicts our needs and wishes so much.

E.Tate out.

postscriptum:
i heard news that the coalition forces might have evacuated from planet Gran Canaria. it is rumor that was brought to freeport 11 by a trader. - i haven t received confirmation, but if that is the case - it seems that many problems have solved itself and that the coalition is isolating itself even more from the opportunity to "fit in" to the rest of the serius enclave.
